I used to top english classes all through high school [skool] and yet was one of the worst spellers.
Later in life I was told I should join MENSA , sorry , not interested ,,,,,,,
yes , bad spelling anoys me a little [lil] sometimes .. but nowhere near as much as txt speak.
Then , what I really like , is the spelling police [self appointed] who in complaining about spelling , use bad grammer.
Hellooo , bad spelling you can useually work out what they mean ,
but , bad grammer you most often can't be sure.
Bad grammer often has more than one meaning.
So which meaning do you as the reader choose ? ? ?

Don't even start me on punctuation................
How many know what these are , and when to use them correctly ?

like I started out ,,, GET A FUCKING LIFE , the english language has evolved over some hundreds of years and continues to change.
I have an originall copy of a book written by my great great grandfather and last published in the early 20th century [about 1905 from memory] and I have trouble reading and understanding it.
Try reading something written a couple of a hundred years ago and trust me , you wont understand it and certainly wont know the spellings unless you were educated to.
example; try reading an original Shakespere manuscript.
