I find it funny when amateurs give away facts about their home-life by leaving things in the background while they pose. You can sometimes tell the country by the plug sockets (fuck me, do I sound sad!)

Anyone got any stupid examples like this one (which was a real turn off!)

Personally I like the homey atmosphere for the amateurs. And if I can read the book titles that's even better.

I'm sure people prefer a plain white or pastel background so as to not detract from the model, but no matter how cluttered, I have no trouble admiring the model. All the other stuff is just a plus to my mind.

Now let the war begin. Gentlemen, check your ammo.

mikkrt - I must be as sad as you as I often look for the electric socket giveaway! Can spot a UK photoshoot a mile off!
If they're done well (unlike the example you posted) then 'homely' backgrounds look OK but have you seen the amount of times a kitchen is used? I've posted a few pics below for different reasons -
The top one may look like it was just careless use of a background but to give them the benefit of the doubt I didn't see if there were any more pics in the set so maybe the ironing board was part of the 'story'.
In the middle one the girl (or photographer) looks like they must be a keen gardener.
The last one proves the model must be hot stuff as there is even a fire extinguisher to hand!

 

The first one I found is a bad picture in so many ways. (yuck) but you will also notice all the junk in the back ground. Not sure I would leave my purse laying around to end up in the picture.
And in the other one the kitchen back ground is green. Do you know anyone with a green kitchen? And in one of them there are eggs out. Those poor eggs are going bad.
Then the catcher, the school bus. I would not pose in that thing or where she had, it was rather dirty.
Oh and one on a porch, is she moving or is that a trash bag?

 

Yes those green kitchen cabinets are painful on the eyes which is a shame as the girl looks nice.

First 1 makes me think of the kids busting in any minute.. which shrivels my pinto.

However the ironing board one gets me excited - she might actually iron a shirt for me! ..well..sorry I'm an old romantic.

The pot plants make me think manure.. yuck

The two with the fire hydrant I like.. its kind of erotic.

And ANY woman who looks like she is about to do the dishes will win points with me
