This part if factually incorrect, I am about as caucasian as they get - perhaps even neon in certain light. I would have no reason to feel defensive, I haven't made any claims - only pointed out the logical and ethical errors in the ones that you and Danny have presented.

I'm lucky enough to live and work in Northern California - a place replete with all kinds of ethnicity. My contact with "blacks" is routine. A fact that undermines your second possiblity.

Now that both of your possible conclusions have been proven factually incorrect, we can dismantle your illogic.

You assume any "Negro" would feel defensive in light of your assertions - when they might feel an entire range of emotions, from anger to amusement. I fall on the amusement side, with small bits of pity for you sneaking in from time to time. You've obviously chosen the emotional reaction that would best support your feelings of righteousness although you have no logical basis for such a claim.

Your exposure to the "blacks" is anecdotal, at best. Your personal experience at the hands of hoodlums has irrevocably distorted your abilty to think clearly about the matter. Unless you can provide some kind of data with an appropriate sample size and control measures in place, it would not count as any kind of credible source to support any argument - although it seems to provide an emotional crutch to prop up your prejudice (along with The Bell Curve ).

It's really odd, that most on this forum, from a variety of countries, backgrounds with several levels of intelligence, can not find a common ground with you on your views and your perceptions of reality.

 

Even among affluent parents black children tend to perform less well in school. That is probably due to what is called reversion to the mean. Exceptional intelligence is based on many recessive genes. A father may have AA, BB, and CC genes, where A, B, and C are recessive genes for high intelligence. The mother may have XX, YY, and ZZ genes, where X, Y, and Z are also recessive genes for high intelligence. The child will have AX, BY, and CZ genes, and not get the effect.

Blacks with IQs above 130 are more unusual than whites with IQs above 130, so their children have more to revert to.

You can not claim bad genes cause them to be less of a citizen, but you can claim, if a group of citizens are at a level that the federal government has placed them to be,, 'special',, and they deserve everything that the government gives them, so there is no need to seek personal accomplishment and individuality, with there own success.

I'd have to say thats more of a theory than anything else... With over 6 billion and counting it will only become more difficult to understand intelligence demographics among races... Therefore I don't think any real endeavor into such a study will yield any fruits.

DL, you can hardly justify your racism based off your own experiences; you admit freely and often that you come from a lower class neighborhood where crime runs rampant. Quite a few of us, on the other hand, do deal with blacks who are middle/upper class and are just as smart and talented if not more so than their Caucasian counterparts.

And seriously, negro? What are you, some Southern gentleman trying to disguise his morally decrepit nature by dressing up his speech in fancy terms and accents? No one has legitimately used the term negro to describe blacks in nearly sixty years.

What you have to realize is that DL experienced some amount of trauma at the hands of people that looked different than him. He felt intensely helpless and not in control. In his search to find out why he was mindlessly victimized, he has sought out ideas that give him a rationalization - those people were savages, genetically inferior to himself.

He approaches questions of race emotionally bunkered against anything that would challenge his prejudice. He searches long and hard for any data that even remotely supports his thinking. He dismisses any rebuttal or refutation of his core dogma & remains incapable of wrapping his brain around ideas that might undermine his bigotry.

Witness his narrow conclusions in this thread alone about a total stranger who would call his position into question. We're not dealing with an emotionaly dispassionate argument here, we're talking with someone who's amygdala is doing the lion's share of the work.

Prove to me that in the four decades since racial discrimination was outlawed in the United States blacks have learned how to perform and behave as well as whites. Prove to me that they are even coming close. Show me a black country in Africa that is better governed than it was under European colonialism.

Blacks tend to perform less well than whites on all the mental aptitude tests however they are designed. By every objective measurable criterion they tend to perform less well in the class room and on the job. Their crime rate is much higher than the white rate. This is true everywhere in the world they live, and everywhere in the world they move.

Those are facts. You can shout "Racist!" at me all you want, but they are still facts. You know that what I say is true. You just feel virtuous pretending otherwise.
