I am also quite Caucasian, though I don't even see why this has any bearing what so ever.

I have long held the belief that to move forward as a society from the not so beautiful state that we are in currently we need to stop seeing humans as races and instead see all humans as humans.

How can you even think that any measure of "intelligence" would be accurate? You can't measure intelligence because it comprises of so many different variables. Pretty much if you have made it to this point in history your "race" has proven it is intelligent enough to survive and procreate and what intelligence is more valuable than that?

Also I'd like to bring up, if you have the ability to love and reason then you are uncompromisingly human.

It's also been proven that eventually the globe will all be one shade of brown or another, and I will make it my goal to impregnate as many dark to brown skinned women in order to form an indistinguishable race and make the earth one nation as long as views like yours are held DL.

Who cares if someone gets fired from a public forum, if they are fired for their beliefs, they either need to reevaluate their beliefs, as everyone who is intelligent needs to when other opinions are brought forth, or find a different forum to talk on if after evaluating your beliefs you still hold the same ones.

You do have to take the consequences for the free speech that you decide to spew out of your vocal apparatus, though if it is truly your belief that should not stop you, since discussion and thought is the only way to keep your mind sharp and to better form your beliefs.

Anyone that I consider intelligent knows that they almost know nothing in life. Change must remain constant, and you must constantly change yourself or else you become stagnant and ignorant.

 

So you pick a country that is resource poor and routinely struck by natural disasters. They also lack the access to information technology enjoyed by the Western world. By contrast, consider the Dominican Republic, which shares the island and has the same roots. They do have access to the information technology, and are currently the second strongest economy in the Caribbean and Central America.

Two similar peoples, same geographical situation. One has access to better education, tools, and information access, the other doesn't. By your reckoning then, since education has no effect, they should have the same outcome. They don't.

Face it, DL. Genetics is not the end all and be all that determines the ability or success of the individual.

 

Must I remind you that except for The Bell Curve, there are no attempts at conclusive proof of why this phenomena exists - and several competing theories? In very unscientific fashion, you have chosen to latch onto the genetic effect model - and reinforce my assertion that it is an emotional position on your part, not a logicial one - every time you engage in the kind of false dichotomy fallacy I have already dismantled (and you've conveniently chosen to ignore).

If the obvious differences between blacks and whites in terms of average intelligence and crime rates were not genetic, I would expect to see a convergence since the civil rights legislation was passed. I do not see a convergence.

What I have been posting is germane to the topic of this thread. There are impressive sanctions against a public discussions of the importance of genetics in explaining human behavior and performance. Those sanctions inhibit free speech.

 

Your expectation of this single metric to be some kind of bellweather reveals your narrow thinking once again. Come on, you must be capable of offering at least a few, if not several, other indicators that would support a conclusion other than the one you are predisposed to, hmmm?

I am intentionally not suggesting any other reasons to see if you are even capable of considering them - and typing them out in public. If you are not, any reasonable person should conclude your emotionally-driven prejudice is all-encompassing.

By that token, women must be inferior workers to men since they are paid less. After all, the Civil Rights legislation covered them as well, so shouldn't their pay have converged with men by now? But that doesn't make any sense, because they commit so few crimes compared to men, which means they must be genetically superior! But then they must be genetically inferior since they have such a small representation in the physical sciences... But, oh dear, compare their IQs and things come out about equally...

For a variable to remain constant, it has to be just that. Genetics aren't. Blaming them for any sociological situation is foolish.

 

NPR is not liberal media its corporate media only a little less loud. According to a study done during the Bush administration it was found that NPR had exactly the same establishment commentators and guests on their news shows as fox news no matter who was in office. So it is not surprising that they did the same thing corporate radio did to its stars when they uttered racial slurs.

You've already dodged/ignored my refutation of your fallacy about why I might be challenging you at all, as well as the likely reason why you hang on to your position like grim death - are you going to ignore this challenge as well?

 

Women prefer successful men. Men do not prefer successful women. This gives men a powerful incentive to succeed that women do not have.

Also, women are less powerful than men. Most of the better paying jobs that do not require college degrees require more strength than most women have or are capable of developing. I am thinking of skilled construction work, fire fighting, and most specialties in the military and law enforcement.
