You'd better! "Kitty" doesn't take kindly to being neglected in any way. She expects to be pampered.

 

I promise to stroke her every day, and even throw in the odd kiss or two, do you think she would like to be covered in warm oil and given a long massage and then a thorough workout?:excited:

 

I'm very much like you. I love both, and generally speaking I have both cats and dogs. Currently, I have two dogs and a cat.

That being said, I am a dog lover through and through. I've spent all of two weeks of my entire life without a dog, and I just couldn't handle it.

I like cats, but I can easily live without them. I only have my current one because she was a rescue. Dogs, on the other hand, I just cannot be without. I literally cannot sleep when I don't have dogs in the house.

 

I don't like dogs - slobbery, noisy, smelly and you have to pick up their shit....

I like cats - more independant. When a cat likes you it's for a reason, dogs are slavish. Mind you, I can't stand the smell of catfood and as for litter trays #shudder#.

We used to have a lovely little one eyed tom that was so gentle with the children and would follow us for walks over the fields. He would miaow every now and again to remind us he was there, and the further behind he got, the more mournful he would get :excited:

 

Cats are OK

One year ago I would have said I was strictly a dog person.

I inherited a black female cat when my son broke up with his girlfriend. Six months later my daughter brought home a six week old gray kitten, also a female.

That makes two dogs, an elderly Labrador Retriever and a 2 year old Border Collie plus two indoor cats.
The black cat is very affectionate and will come when she is called while the gray one is more independent and standoffish.

The gray cat plays rough and tumble with the border collie and all four will on occasion sleep together on the couch in a pile. My border collie sleeps beside me on my oversize recliner while the black cat joins us on my lap.

We always had dogs when I was growing up, but I got my first kitten when I was in college and just fell in love with her. She lived to be 22. I am definitely a cat person. I love their purr.

Dogs, definitely. Though I do not mind cats, I've only had "one" cat and just can't seem to replace her. When we finally buy a house this year/next year I will most likely have a little dog shelter of up to 5 dogs...I just hate when I cannot help out a dog in need! =(

both! cats are fun because they flop around and do whatever they want, dogs are fun because they know when you need a nice little boost in your day and they make that happen :excited:
