It's bad in N. St. Louis and a few parts of South City but the suburbs and places like Kirkwood, Creve Coeur, Webster Groves and Maplewood are fine. In a lot of South City, especially in the neighborhoods around Tower Grove, there has been a renaissance in the last decade. A lot of young people have moved in and there's been a ton of rehab to the area. It's actually a trendy spot now that rivals the Loop.

Still, you go to places like Wellston after the sun goes down at your own risk.

Right, well for starters: You're not from St. Louis, and I'm not from Philly. Unlike you however, I'm not from some cushy ass suburb. The town where I grew up is definitely rougher than where you grew up because if you grew up anywhere other than the cushy ass suburbs, you would've gotten your ass whooped enough times growing up to have humbled you or at least taught you what you can and can't do. Furthermore, Chester had a state of emergency over the summer and even when there isn't one, people get shot/stabbed there quite often. Reading is pretty bad, or so I've heard. Then of course you have areas like Collingdale, Darby(where they issued a mandatory curfew last year due to the amount of people getting shot in one weekend), Mildbourne(you wouldn't last a second there), and so on and so forth. The only places that are like the suburbs in places other than the East Coast are places like Springfield, Haverford, Marple, etc. Everywhere else is either row homes or shitty old homes/shitty old row homes. Let's do a little experiment. I'll go to the place where you actually grew up and shout at the top of my lungs in the dead of night how you're all a bunch of suburbanite, fake ass pussies, and you do the same in my hometown and see how long you last. Hell, I'll even let you only go to the nicer part, where I grew up.

You clearly don't know shit about the East Coast, especially not about the NYC/Philly/NJ/DE/MD general area. Guess you should just add that to the list, which includes really everything you ever talk about.

Oh, and you're right. It's nothing to brag about, and yet you're trying to brag about it. That's how I know you're from the suburbs. Anybody who actually comes from a bad place doesn't want to and certainly doesn't brag about it except as an "I survived here, I'm from here, I'm not from the suburbs" kinda thing. They might love the town/the people/etc but they don't love the crime or the violence or the other bullshit that comes along with it. You should be thanking God you don't come from places like that, and instead you're trying to front like you do, instead of using your better opportunities to help those people.
