This indicates to me at least that even when income is held constant, blacks still have a significantly higher crime rate than whites. The murder rate is a good way to evaluate the entire crime rate, because murders are more likely to come to the attention of the police.

 

Mugging, armed robbery, burglary, rape certainly qualify.
