So the other night, after work I met up with a girl I've known for a while. We were recently in a play together and during that time it came to light that we both liked each other. The only thing stopping us was the fact that I have a girlfriend.
About a week before shit hit the fan, we started texting and it eventually led to sexting, telling me what she would do to me, all that stuff. I wanted it to end there, but at the same time, I didn't.
So, Friday night. We meet outside a local coffee place. It's about eleven at night so it's closed, but it's convenient. We go to the nearest food place, Waffle House, and enjoy some breakfast for supper. We get to talking, and after about twenty minutes we realize that we're both freezing cold, so I decided, in my infinite wisdom, to invite her to sit on my lap. It would warm us both, and I STILL think I can control myself and her. She initially refuses, because of her lack of self-control, but I persuade her. To cut out a lot of bullshit, we start making out. And then clothes come off. We didn't have sex, but we were both topless and one of us got our dick sucked. The whole time, I periodically thought of my girlfriend and I didn't really feel any kind of remorse or bad feelings at all. It felt sexy, dirty, and alive! Afterwards, I discovered that my girlfriend had called me three times and left me two voicemails. That's a whole nother story.

In any case: Cheating on your girlfriend is pretty dishonest, and kinda by definition makes you a "bad person", but I am not here to judge. While you were super into this other girl, sexting and such, where were your feelings for your current girlfriend? If you aren't really that into your current girlfriend, then you should have broken it off with her and THEN pursued this other broad. If you would have done that, then... well, then you wouldn't be considered a dishonest person.
In any case, you betrayed your girlfriend, and you don't even really care, which more than likely means you just don't really feel much for your current girlfriend. I suggest you break it off and start fresh. Don't try to act like it didn't happen and repair relations with your girlfriend, because you clearly don't want to invest yourself into the relationship.

actually, the two stories are separate. The first one happened about two years ago, and this one was very recently. When I said I didn't feel any remorse, I meant that I didn't feel anything during the act. I did feel horrible and still do. I just needed to put this somewhere so I could get some perspective. I love my girlfriend. I screwed up, but I genuinely want to make her happy and I don't want to do this anymore. I am going to be faithful, I just needed to tell somebody.
