But, while we are on the subject, would you care to see how many police officials peacefully clubbed some heads and used their horse to intimidate these students?

Also, you may wish to research the term Kettling, whereby peaceful law officers surround and entrap demonstrators and deny them egress! This has been a very popular police tactic globally, sometimes hemming in protestors for hours on end, thus enciting an escalation of the issue!

 

Yeah a lot of kettling went on, the protestors created problems and broke laws, should they be given free pass because they are students, no and now the bill has been passed hopefully we will have a few less students, doing halfassed degrees like media studies and such.

Did you see the police laying into them? Herding them like animals? And don't tell me some of the yobs filmed breaking up concrete blcoks for missiles were students - they were troublemakers just taking advantage of a peaceful protest to run riot. I think it's shameful to saddle younge peolpe with debt just to get a decent education. Yes I know all the arguments aboiut how it's a good deal - but many just won't consider going to Uni because it's so damned difficult to get any solid information on financial help, Trust me, I know - we didn't know how much help my youngest would get until he had been accepted onto a course.

I do not believe media studies to be halfassed.

The amount they have to pay is small, in my opinion. If and when they have to pay it's a paltry amount. I also believe that the debt is written off after 30 years if they do not go into a high paying job. All I can say is welcome to the real world, as most of us will have debt at some point in out lifetime.
