  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

So in November I started back to the gym full time. I had torn the ACL and MCL a year before so I had been a bit lazy during the recovery. I'm enjoying the return and have been going every day, making it a part of my routine as it were.

It got me wondering this morning... How often do you go to the gym? Do you have a plan you like and of course any supplements?

Okay so it's a bunch of different questions. :)

I don't go to a gym right now, I have had memberships in the past but right now I work out at work/home.

Generally every 3 days, I focus on different parts of the body. Right now I'm trying to bulk my upper body. Chin ups, pull ups, dips, military press, curls, farmer static holds, front to lateral raises (lift weights directly in front of you with arms extended, then spread arms out to lateral position.)

In a few months ill get a YMCA membership again to do a more verbose workout.

I did WS4SB version 3 for a while, might switch to something different next.

I eat extremely healthy and take a multivitamin, 1 vitamin D, 2 calcium, and 2 omega 3s daily.

I try to go to the gym three times a week. I don't have set days, as i have to plan it round my shifts in work. I also do kickboxing twice a week. I take no supplements and just try to eat healthy.

Being healthy, lean and in good shape is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise.

You can exercise enough to combat a bad diet, but if you eat properly you have to do minimal exercise to maintain a good physique, unless you're an athlete/bodybuilder.

Eating healthy = no grains (breads, pasta, rices, anything made with flour), no processed sugars. All meats (pasture fed if possible, need to supplement with omega3s if not), veggies, fruits and nuts.

Any starchy carbohydrates will spike insulin levels big time, which is what leads to fatigue, hormonal issues, and body fat storage unless the excess glycogen is used up. That is what makes excessive exercise necessary.

Cut all that crap out and you can sit on your ass all day without gaining a pound.

I go to the gym with some regularity, but not every day. I wish I could eat 5-6 times a day, but lately my stomach isn't interested.

I guess that's what heartbreak does to you. Me.

A couple of years ago, my work schedule was consistent and I was into powerlifting bigtime! I had everything I needed in my garage. But now, work schedules are all over the place. My diet is all jacked up as well since I never know exactly when I'll get to eat.

I miss the cold, hard, iron. The chaulk,..and the loud death metal. :(

I was a high school sports guy back in the day and then went through my twenties drinking and eating whatever the hell came along. Next thing I knew the six pack became a keg and the energy was gone. I combated it by taking up cycling. I would bike a few hundred miles a week and noticed things coming back into focus. Sadly I live in a climate that doesn't allow for that to be a year round activity so I also added basketball and snowboarding. When I blew my knee out I became stagnant. I saw my body start to go places I didn't like...

I hate the indoor bike so I have taken to alternating daily from running, biking, elliptical and hitting the bag. I go seven days a week because that's the only way I can be consistent. I use a full body work out right now but I am switching in two weeks to my next plan. I have always tried to switch plans every 6 to 12 weeks in the past.

As for supplements I like Body Effects, it has a little of everything and then I use a whey protein in my smoothies. Tastes good and adds that little kick of protein so no complaints.

I have to be careful in my diet. I like to have a cheat day every week. It makes the whole thing more bearable. I have noticed that being back in the gym has curbed a lot of my desire for the shitty foods that I was eating.

I'm planning on a two day, two hundred mile bike ride this summer so I'll up the cardio for that. I'm also flirting with the idea of a duathlon at the end of the summer. It's going to depend on how the body holds up!

I don't go to the gym, but I do things at home, walk around and take care of how I eat and how active I am.

Dester has got it right. Although I need pasta every so often. I am at the gym 4-5 days a week - not tying to bulk up but rather this is MY time and an opportunity to channel some of my excess energy. I leave the gym feeling relaxed and very alert - it just sets the day. The routines and intensity vary by day. Swimming is also a part of the weekly routine.

daily supplements are a multi, B complex, liquid D, oxitrol (not the overactive bladder one:)) antioxidant, and coenzyme q10. I feel great and hardly ever sick.

The best of luck to ya on your upcoming quest. I read stories like yours and it inspires me at times. So much of life gets in the way or takes up preciouse time. Or,..Im just to tired from a busy day/week of work. I should take baby steps and hopefully increase the time I can put into it, and not expect for me to "feel" the same as when I left off at. But anyhow,..thx for the thread and good luck to ya again. :excited:
