Tea Party members have been carrying guns to public meetings just like this one ever since Barack Obama got elected. The guy that dropped his gun at one of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords meetings was not arrested.

The shooter who assasinated a Republican appointed judge and wounded a Democrat Congresswomen in Arizona yesterday was a left wing nutjob. He had nothing to do with the Tea Party or Sarah Palin or the guy who showed up near a rally for the President with legally possessed firearm.

How typical

As soon as I saw the title I knew it would be a hot bed of what people here refer to as debate.

16 people were shot by a deranged maniac. 6 have died. Others may still die. Lives have changed forever because of this tragedy.

The sympathy and support for them has been derailed while too many grab this as another opportunity to spout their opinions on gun laws, abortion, politics, religion, blah blah blah. Quoting diverse facts and taking statements out of context to prove some point or position, and berating any opinion or position that does not match theirs.

Done to score a point; show their insightful intelligence; boost their ego. Further their agenda.

What of the 16 people shot, and the 6 dead? What of their families who have to find some way to go on? What of the parents of that 9 year old girl?

Another forum I belong to has a thread with the same title.
The first two entries announced what had happened.
The third set up an account to donate to a fund for the victims and survivors.
The entries since have been about that account. Not a single entry on anything else.

I was listening to all the news last night, and was listening to a few mention Sarah Palin, but I was looking at the sight.

There is no mention from her to go out and kill anyone. Yes, she has cross hairs on the 20 Democrats, but what is said above it and below it, is what is important.

On the top of the map it talks about wanting to take back the 20 seats from the Democrats of which voted for the health care bill where Republicans carried the district.

Under the map, there is a list of the 20 members from Congress, and besides some names, there is a red square. Underneath those names there is a line that clearly reads as a legend as to what that red square means. The red square represents that the member of Congress is already retiring at the end of their term.

So, not sure this can be blamed on Sarah Palin.
