The 2nd amendment will not be repealed, you can call for stronger control over guns, you may get it but it won't stop weapons falling into the hands of criminals, they are already barred from owning and buying small arms yet they get them through the black market. So there is no answer to the problem you have.

 

I agree there are better handguns than the magnum, it might be the most powerful hand gun in the world, but it is overly large and in the hands of the inexperienced is useless.

 

I just shot it, to say I did, I'm not much of a fan for hand guns, rifles and shotguns on the other hand,,I like.

-The average machine gun is used for suppresive fire. This means that out of several hundred rounds fired, only one is expected to hit a target. Hunters, on the other hand, are no different from snipers, and are expected to wait patiently until they can hit what they aim for.

So what's wrong with this picture? The fact that you're relying on Kimiko, who has demonstrated zero practical knowledge about the military and fire arms in general, to make a claim using empty rhetoric, and then assuming it "must" be correct because it fits preconceived notions.

But you forgot the second part to my solution. Because without this solution, there will still be problems.

Try to find a way to completely shut down all form of black markets in relation to weapons. This will be very difficult due to as soon as one is taken down, others will rise to take over the fallen sellers. Think of this world as the drug world, yet much more profitable.

 

There are no logical solutions to gun control, they have been in this country since the whiteman brought them here and they will be here as long as civilization can sustain itself. If you think that there can be a logical control on guns, you may be fooling yourself, you will only control the law biding citizen, allowing the villains to have and possess guns without control..

 

And that is why if we are able to control the black market and limit the gun running enterprise then there is a chance. Because with those two aspect removed, there is no option to attain firearms but legally. And to legally buy weapons, there are already some strict laws in place. Yet we could include a psychological evaluation into the current laws and regulations to be able to purchase a weapon.

 

Sorry buddy, the only way to stop guns is to shut down the manufacturers, for the private sector and for the public sector,,,,,chaos will soon ensue.
Stricter guns laws will build the black market even stronger than it already is. The criminals, terrorists and even the law biding citizens will never stop buying guns. This will be an endless debate with no solutions just inept stricter gun laws.................merry-go round and round.

 

He actually did it during a school day when he stayed home sick. The problem is that he knew where the gun was and it wasn't secure. He was always kind of the black sheep of the family. I had both his brother and sister as students and they were more successful in school than Scott.

I challenge your statement that other methods would have been just as easy. It's not as easy to jump from a building. He would have to have access (a 6th grader doesn't drive) and he would have had to find a building that was tall enough and had balconies or some other place to jump from. Being hit by a car is hardly a sure thing. Neither is cutting ones wrists. I realize that if guns aren't available, most adults will find another method (usually jumping), but not children. There's nothing as efficient and fast as a gun, even if it's an accident.

Oddly enough, Scott's brother wore a button that said "I am Loved". When I asked him who gave it to him, I was expecting that it was a girlfriend. He said it was his sister, and he wore it every day.

I had another student, another 7th grader, who died of autoerotic asphyxiation. He'd read about it in his dad's Playboy magazine. They actually found it at his feet. The article was about the dangers, but it also gave "instructions". Of course some people decided to try it.
