Well, perhaps Australians shouldn't be able to own any guns. I mean you are all criminals aren't you? Isn't Australia a British penal colony? And it is very clear Australia is still subservient to the British and their draconian gun laws and politics. I own a gun for self defense reasons. I have seen the ugly side of the world both here in the US and at places where life can be a struggle daily. I do fight for the right to own weapons because it is in the constitution. Just because you take away guns does not mean that bad people cannot get them.

So, you're posting spam now? And this proves what? Do you have any idea how many kids bring/take prescription drugs to school every year? Do you have any idea how bad a problem it is? Well, I have news for you, drugs are a much bigger problem. I'm not talking illegal drugs, I'm talking about legally prescribed drugs. 100,000 Americans Die Each Year from Prescription Drugs in the USA. Far more than that are killed with guns, however these people are just as much dead, wouldn't you agree stumbler?

And since you obviously didn't read the story or this thread I'll point out to you that this was the second incident of a kid bringing a gun to school this week and I've posted several ones previously to this.

I'll also continue to post them because I don't think there's anything more careless than letting some kid get his hands on a gun. Nor any better proof that we've got too many guns in the hands of people who don't have the sense to be responsible with them.

PS In fairness I should also say I think you just made the farthest leap of logic and factual fallacy on this thread so far.

 

OK, than perhaps your time would be better spent complaining to your state representative to enforce existing laws already on the books. If this was done, than most of the problems you speak of would be resolved, correct?

Actually I see the problem going the other way with more and more states allowing citizens to carry concealed weapons into more and more public places.

I also see the availability of guns as a problem because obviously if we've got little kids bringing guns to school we've got a problem.

But the real problem I see is not the laws, enforced or not. What I see as the real problem is Americans who want to right to own guns but not take any of the responsibility that comes with them. Its not just the criminals that are the problem. As I said before its too many guns in the hands of people who may have the right to own a gun but not the sense to be responsible with guns.

We've always had crime, gun crimes, and criminals but what I never thought I'd see is the level of gun carelessness I'm seeing in the US and I strongly believe that will come back to haunt all gun owners not just the careless and criminals.

OK, more news stumbler. It's not just guns that people lack respect for. People in society today will not take responsibility for ANYTHING! Not their kids, not the way they drive, not alcohol or drugs, not what they eat.

Like I said stumbler, if you want to save us all, you must start at the root of the problem. Guns are really insignificant when compare to the the real problems society faces today.

 

Nope gun owners not taking the responsibility to support existing laws and maybe make some new ones. Maybe even require gun owners to pass and be certified in a gun safety course before they can buy one.

No this is just another one of those conservative lies that get washed into people's brains and makes them feel better to bitch about. Its none of their responsibility to do anything. Because they are apparently the only responsible person in the whole country. Bullshit.
