That's why I keep putting things like up on the GUN RIGHTS thread. Because right now we've got way more gun rights than we've got gun sense and responsibility.

 

I've wanted a BAR for a long time. Not for anything malicious of course! My grandfather carried one in the Pacific in WW2 and I'd like to have it for mostly nostalgic reasons. (and shoot!:excited

 

The British Bren was a a better weapon, easier to change mags on the move as it was top loading, also a more accurate weapon which helps with hitting the target whilst moving, a fast and simple barrel change mech. So good it stayed in service till the 80s with infantry troops and the 90s with non-infantry when it was replaced with the Light Support Weapon(shoddy and small calibre piece of crap), the Bren a lovely piece of kit that the BAR is almost the equal to in all respects apart from loading and accuracy, oh and barrel change. But the if not a Bren then I would love a BAR.

 

Let me make this simple. You don't like or want a gun fine don't buy one, But keep your hands off my right to own one. I served my country and more than earned my right to have them. Also if the UN gets the Small Arms Treaty through Congress I'm going hunting for blue helmets&berrets.

Gun Right/Gun Control begin at home. A gun is just a tools.

Most people that have guns do not erexise properly care in using a gun. Shooting 400 times to kill something or someone is a waste. I probably kill than most ever thought about. More people are kill by what they thought was a unloaded gun, than a loaded gun. The most powerful weapon a person have is their mind/the ablity to think. Yes I believe let everyone that want too own a gun.

I have read through the comment/posts here and find them very interesting. The writing and grammer associated with the writers makes mw wonder and laugh.
I think about the IQ of gun ownership and then I understand why the US has so many more gun deaths, as a persentage of population, compared to the rest of the world.

If you want to find out how old this weapon is contact the colt's arms company via letter, include the weapon's serial number and a brief statement requesting whatever information you want to know about the firearm.They should be able to help you.

 

I have had my fair share of firearms training in the military and in civilian life. I have a FFL and have had a full back ground check by the ATF (a requirement for getting a FFL).

I am a safety officer at my local gun range. I observe the conduct of people on the firing line and I am responsible for their safety while they are there.
