  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

I have disagreed with this punish all for the sins of the few mentality all my life. I have in 40+ years of handling firearms, never ever dicharged a weapon unless I ment to. We see the stories of the morons, the shootings make headlines. If more people carried there would be less chance of the Holmes of this world being able to pull off mass shootings.

Its sure getting to be more than just the actions of the few it appears to me. I've never seen the level of gun carelessness I'm seeing now and it sure makes me think we need to do something about it.

You and I were obviously taught how to be safe and responsible maybe other people should be taught the same BEFORE they get a gun.

What about all those folk who celebrate by shooting off into the sky, those bullets just have to come down somewhere the math will be different for each bullet but on average it will be coming down at 32 feet per second per second that could build to around 300 mph, not as fast as the muzzle velocity but still fast enough to cause issues if they are landing on your head.

So why do these folk do that, is it fun or is it a way of wasting bullets?

People that fire guns into the air are stupid. You are correct, people can and do get injured and killed by falling bullets shot into the air for celebration or other reasons.

You would think since guns are part of our culture here in the US, we would teach gun safety in our schools. But we don't........

I love the argument "Will, guns kill people." I respond to this by saying "no they don't, and I can prove it. If I were to set a M-249 Bravo on that table there, and left it alone, would that gun kill anyone?" "Well, no." "But, if I were to pull the trigger, and somebody died, would the gun have killed them?" " No, you would have killed them." "Prosicution rests."

Or, another good one: "Why do you need a gun in your home? Are you that paranoid that someone is gonna break in?" "Ma'am, do you keep a fire extinguisher in your home." "Of course I do." "And I'd it loaded?" "Well, of course it is! It's completely useless otherwise!" "Are you that paranoid that your house is gonna catch on fire?" "If course not, it's just good to be prepared just in case." "Prosicution rests."

They used to teach weapons safty in school, at least in Ohio. You had to go through it before you could get a hunting lic. It was held for 8th and 9th graders.

Maybe the cop shot himself by accident and blamed it on the kid so he wouldn't get fired for acting stupidly.

do we supress responsible ownership laws simply because one is in law enforcement or the millitary?? no
laws are laws and they are so for a reason but being self responsible is not regulated by the US government and thats how it should be
but people are giving them every reason to infringe on our rights and abilities by using loop-holes
    can i but 1,000,000 rounds in 1 day ...yes...is it responsible?..no
can i carry my pistol into a bank? yes
    do i? no
can i shoot into the air on a holiday?..not in some areas..but i wouldnt, its just damn dangerous
im not going to put anyone at risk that has not put themself at risk

the ammendment (2nd ammendment) does not say that the average citizen should have an AK-47, that was added later and can be argued before the surpeme court again
    its not mine to decide

but as a gun dealer i can do my best to ensure propper protocols are followed and that i do not sell anything to anyone that i think might not know how to be responsible for and that i feel has no real reason to own

i will not sell a customer 6000 rounds in 3 months unless they own a range or are a competitive shooter

also i have manditory registrations in my shop , you dont leave with an unregistered firearm
i track my sales and talk to the 3 other shops localy to see who buys what and when

A cost/ benefit analysis has been done and Americans have decided that they would rather be the victim of random shootings that wipe out their families and loved ones than give up their own guns. the mass murder shootings I see in the USA ( from columbine to this day) have all been done by up to that day by a sane and responsible legal gun owner not by any known or previously committed criminal.
the concealed weapon argument is bogus as all that will happen is more murders.

Gun Owners Say They Want More Controls, a GOP Pollster Says

According to GOP pollster Frank Luntz, a survey of 900 gun owners uncovers healthy support among moderates for more gun control, writes Eleanor Clift.
