  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

I haven't read enough of him to know, but you're probably right. A lot of authors do that. The heroes of their stories often embody the character traits they find most interesting or identify with, thus all of their heroes are the same type of character. Then there's the other type of author who builds a near blank central character and spends most their creativity on the surrounding characters.

Have you ever read about Andrei Chikatilo, the Soviet Union's first acknowledged serial killer? Fascinating case. He killed 52 women and children over a 12 year period. He was able to kill for so long because the bureaucracy did not believe that a serial killer could exist in the USSR. There is a book called The Killer Department by Robert Cullen and an HBO movie based on the book called Citizen X. The movie is EXCELLENT and is available through Netflix.

Yes, its excellent. Very Stephen Fry, funnily enough. I should have read Moab is My Washpot first but never got round to it. He is a national treasure now. Officially!

You should read a book by Tom Rob Smith called "Child 44". His follow up "Secret Speech" is excellent too. It looks at the point you make about a serial killer being able to exist because of the belief you mention. It's loosely based on Chikatilo. It's written from the perspective of Leo Demidov, a KGB officer. Best book I read last year.

Old, yes, witch, of course....cynical.....oh yes.

I have not read Team Rodent yet....which is the book on Disney. Paradise Screwed is excellent, though. It is his old columns. I read the Miami Herald online for his columns....I started reading his books when I saw Striptease on a display in an indie book store.....been hooked since.

Have finished "The Light Fantastic" and am now focusing on Dante's Inferno. There just aren't that many books out there where a guy'll grab his own chest, pull, rip his own skin showing the juicy bits underneath and scream "See how I rend me!!!"

It's about the Samurai code of conduct. Kind of like the European code of chivalry. Bushido outlines how the people in countries like China and Japan view morality. It explains the oriental view of concepts like honor, love, duty.
