Unions fund elections for liberals. Liberals get in office and reward those unions with elaborate benefits that they know they can't afford. They just don't care, it gets them elected and they can kick the debt bucket down the road. Been going on for 50 years in Wisconsin.

There's only so much gov't can confiscate from the private sector. People are already losing their homes, now they have to raise property taxes? Again? The issue of school funding somehow shifted from what the taxpayers are willing to give and what they expect in return ...to what the unions say the taxpayers are going to provide, or they'll just stop doing their jobs and go shutdown the government by acting like fools in the capitol.

Did you know that he pays very little tax on his money at all (because there is no income to tax, it's all capital gains and dividends.) Total compensation per teacher in Wisconsin is over $105k/year. Over $40k/year is in health and pension benefits. That's absolutely insulting to the taxpayers who can't afford their own retirement or healthcare, in part because the teachers demand to keep their cadillac plans and taxpayers have to pay for that first. Public opinion is not favorable toward the teachers or their unions right now and I hope they keep skipping work and defrauding the taxpayers by fraudulently claiming they are sick and causing parents to miss work or pay for babysitters so the teachers can throw their little fit. People will soon enough hate them ...and elect more fundamentalist conservatives to fire every fucking one of them. Cancel pensions by law and send them to the back of the soup line.

Waaah, they can't negotiate for wage increases beyond the consumer price index. It takes a vote in the state house to get more of a raise than that. What the fuck is wrong with that? Other than denying the next union-supported governor the ability to rape the taxpayers to pay off the campaign favors I mean...

Actually I'm close friends with chief counsel for one of the teacher unions in Texas, I am also close friends with no less than seven (7) public school teachers. I know one who retired with full pension, then she was informed of a loophole in the law that allowed her to work ONE day in the cafeteria and then pull full Social Security benefits too. Such nice responsible people. I just can't figure out why Social Security is going broke
