Just because TV is censored has nothing to do with the choice you have in watching the show or not. If the content of a show on TV offends your morals or sensibilities, just as a story on a website might, what right do you have to complain about it's content if you continue to watch the show, or read the story. I repeat my view that this type of story should not be banned. If it is banned, why not ban everything on here? 99 percent of the stories contain something illegal, you can't ban one thing and not the others. The point is NO ONE (not just me) should read those stories. You can't say if you don't like them don't read them, no one should read them. No one should write them either.

These stories feed the pedofiles, they inspire people to act on ideas that they have surpressed or were never encouraged to put in life. I see porn movies that make me treat a girl differently that day. You can not tell me that people are not effected in some way by what they see or read. Since we do not know what twisted mind will be inspired by such stories, they should not be allowed here.

If you wrote a piece on how to attack a governemt facility, with a detailed plan of a building, on details how to build a bomb, with a security schedules, and how to fly out of the country once you did it, you sir would be inspiring and helping someone that was planing to harm that facility. You would not be a closet terrorist (I never said the writers are closet pedophiles) however you would inspire and give ideas to a real terrorist and your better judgement should tell you to stop publishing it.

I will not use Bestiality or Necrophilia, to support my argument, but Murder and Rape. As these are on a higher gravity scale and MORE likely to happen. SO under your vision there should be NO Murder stories, NO Murder films, NO Rape stories and NO films containing Rape scenes..Which means that films like Straw Dogs and The Accused would NEVER have been made...

 

The big difference between murder and pedo stories is how they are portrayed. Murderers are portrayed as evil doers; making the reader hoping they are caught; and punished for their crimes.

The pedophiles however are portrayed as very friendly; and not doing any harm at all one of the boys infact; it is never mentioned that their victims may be scarred for life.

They are never brought to justice; where the murderer is almost always brought to justice.

That portrayal of the leading man (using that term) is the massive difference.

I dont read much of stories(but might get back to some) I have mixed feelings about this ban. I understand the intent, but also feel that we are being held hostage for the (illegal)peccadilloes of a few. I don't see how this helps the world at large.

Why do fear an idea. A story is thought or at least that how it starts its not an action or call to action it is just an idea. People that fear things that aren't real scare me. Because they can be so easily convinced to do horrible things in the name of a lie. They are reactionary and foolish because all of their worry over an idea will not stop it. It will exist whether they like it or not and eventually it will be everywhere.
