Well now they are divorced and only my dad remarried so if he were having an affair or my stepmom was I would definitely tell the other one because she's a bitch and I would love to get rid of her.

Assuming you meant when they are married: I think that's a really good question because you hate the fact that one of your parents is lying and hurting the other one but you don't want them to split up as a result of you telling them. Basically do you get what you want and be selfish or do you do the right thing and put yourself into a possibly worse situation.

Personally? I would FIRST confront the parent having the affair and encourage them to break it off and come clean with their spouse. If they refused or agreed but never did, I would tell my other parent and hope for the best. This is coming from another child of divorce though so take it for what it's worth, i'm use to them being apart now.

 

Yes, and then I would lay the smackdown on whoever's cheating for fucking up the trust in the family.

 

i wouldn't. I suspected my mom was, but wasn't sure. she finally told him when she came home at 10 pm saying she had worked late. he didn't believe her.

Look at it the other way; if either of your parents knew that you were having an affair, would you want them to tell your spouse??

If the answer is NO, then why would you tell the other parent..

It is their life, let them deal with the faults..I am sure they would do the same for you..

 

mine are divorced. My dad has a new fiancee,sh ok but not my fav person. My dad has been having affairs all along but im not going to tell her as she is the reason my mum & dad are divorce. Karma is a bitch LOL x

My parents were swingers but neither could handle it in the long run. My dad married the good for nothing, piece of shit, uneducated, soul sucking thing he was swinging with. If I found out he was cheating on her ( although she's mentally castrated him and I doubt he could even get it up) oh BABY....FUCK YEAH I'd tell her!!
