I am currently watching "The Conspiracy" This is a very interesting show but it is late and I am falling asleep so will finish watching it tomorrow. I do like these kind of documentaries and this reminds me of Micheal Moores films. The first concept was about 911 being a set up as money was just exchanged with Pakistan. More about this tomorrow...... I am sure some others have watched this one since it was last years release.

 

I watched "Meet Joe Black" with Anthony Hopkins and Leonardo DeCaprio, I'm re-evaluating how I've been living as a result.

 

Brandi, Netflix has all 6 season's of Gossip Girl available. The cool thing about Netflix Streaming is they have most of those old and even current series available to watch on demand for $8 a month, no limit. I've really gotten into a lot of good series I've missed over the years. You can start at episode 1 and run all the way through in order at your leisure or even binge watch. All commercials have been deleted also.

 

Ah thanks. I looked into Netflix once and had just got a new DVD player but it wasn't the right one to get Nexflix I would have had to buy another machine or a games machine which i did not use, need or have a want for so to me at the time it didn't seem right to spend another $400 on a piece of equipment to get 8$ a month movies most of which I already seen since anything I really want to see I go to the theatre. I should look into it again and see if anything has changed now. I never use my DVD machine anymore either as movie stores seem to be a thing of the past. I find with this PVR I can order lots of different movies and shows but they are usually $8-$5 a show. Seems expensive since I can see a movie out for that and staying at home was always cheaper.

Prisoners was a pretty good movie. Good acting, great dialogue, pretty solid plot line. It is a long movie but I really didn't mind too much as the combination of genres and quick shifting of the story held my attention. The only thing didn't really understand was the allusions to Christianity ( I think I saw some allusions to freemasonry as well).
Never really have been one for Jake Gyllenhaal butt his acting was top notch in this film. The center characters have enough depth where the secondaries are able to blend in perfectly into the background and not complicate the story. Overall I defiantly recommend if dramas are your thing and you have two and a half hours to kill.

I watched "Give it a year", worst movie ever. I have no idea what it was about or who played in it as I just couldn't pay attention it was that bad. Save your money!

 

I started watching Leviathan but couldn't make more than a few minutes before I started skipping through it.

What the bloody hell was the point of it? All it seemed to be was a bunch shaky cameras in the dark on a ship. There was no dialog from what I saw, just shaky video that gave me a headache and garbled audio. I heard it was some sort of great documentary, but isn't a documentary supposed to have a point?

I think this was result of some wanker who was trying way too hard to be artistic.

What I would give to have never wasted my time on such a piece of trash film.

 

Prisoners was a damn good movie! I really enjoyed it. Jake and Hugh were amazing

 

I watched Drag Me to Hell again this morning again while I did homework for school. I am not sure why I watched it. I have seen it before and it bothered me the first time.

In many ways it is a good movie. However, the concept is just so wrong! The idea that some nasty old gypsy cunt can send anyone she wants to hell if they offend her by cursing them, is just so absurd.

I am generally not a violent person, but I found myself wanting to harm that old woman in all sorts of creative ways.

 

Haha wow. That movie was terrible though.

 

Yeah I gotta admit I really liked the way it ended. I'm not really one for Hugh either but he was really phenomenal in this movie. I thought the movie was going to go in a completely different direction than it did. Glad it did though cause it ended up going in the right one.

 

I was just thinking about the movie Pacific Rim. I really enjoyed this movie for several reasons, but one point me very happy; the Asian girl survived.

I have noticed that in the vast majority of American and British movies, the Asian girl dies. I am not sure why. It seems to be even more common than a black man dying in horror movies.

 

"The Christmas Colt" was a great kids family movie with meaning. Spoiled children who do not even appreciate Christmas anymore re learn the meaning. This show was worth watching just for the beautiful scenery and a terrific horse show act. 2 thumbs up as it reminded me of a good old Disney movie.

 

Anbody remember Thirteen Ghosts?
It's always been pretty funny to me cause the some of the ghosts look a bit cartoonish. But who can deny Mathew Lillard's awesomeness?:excited:

 

I watched "Drinking Buddies". This was actually a good film about relationship dynamics and how they change and can get confusing. I had been looking at this show for awhile but was sitting on the fence whether to view it and am glad I did. It gets Brandi's approval.

 

I watched "Girl Most Likely" and it wasn't to bad. A girl has some crazy bad luck starting with her fiance breaks up with her, she looses her job, she tries suicide and ends up in the hospital and then crashes her moms car. It was all funny though and not tragic and she learns to navigate life. 2 thumbs up.
