It amazes me that people are actually surprised or shocked when it turns out somebody is like this. He cut his teeth as an actor and grew up in a time where that kind of behavior was rewarded and encouraged, and he has been almost given incentive to be the douche that he is. That's what happens when somebody spends years and years and years in all of that.

 

At the very least Sheen has become unemployable. His antics cost 2 1/2 Men millions of dollars by shutting down production. No actor, even the star, is worth that. He also proved that he is simply not over his addictions, whether he has stopped using or not. If he's using, he's using. If he's not using, he's a dry drunk and suffers from the narcissism that all addicts suffer from.

It's funny. I watched 2 1/2 Men for a while, not because I especially liked it, but because it was part of a line up that I DID watch. I liked everyone on the show except Sheen, who wasn't really acting. He was just playing himself - an egotistical, alcoholic womanizer. Im actually looking forward to seeing what the show is like with Ashton Kutcher. I think he's a decent actor and will be a breath of fresh air in a series that had grown stale. BTW, if you have Netflix or Blockbuster, check him out in Spread. I think it was unfairly overlooked. He and Anne Heche are quite good and it's damn sexy. He's definitely not just Mr. Demi Moore.

 

Good for Charlie, he might be a mess, but he does not change his ways to conform to what people want him to be. You all want him to get in line with the rest of the sheep. You all bitch about Charlie, but he fucked the best pussy, had more fun and acomplished more than most people in here. I wish a lot more people were as much of an individual as he is, the world would have more flavor.

CBS Entertainment Nina Tassler shared this tidbit about the much-anticipated cast change on TV's biggest sitcom during a session with television reporters on Wednesday. "Men" saw the stormy exit of Charlie Sheen last season.
Kutcher's character will be named Walden Schmidt and has no family connection to the characters played by continuing stars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones, who portrayed the brother and nephew of Sheen's departed character.
