  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Are you in the market for one?N/A for me, but I would check out some auto consumer magazine, it would be a tough choice. I would check out some specs first, take a few test drives, talk to owners of the make/model/year of the type you are thinking about getting, for starters.
    Best of luck Brandi:rose:

ooooooooooo...tough...depends on what I'm doing or wanting at the time and right now...I want a jeep...CJ7, restore or rebuild, the older the better, if it's in good shape chassis wise...but not my only choice....I'm thinkin that's not the kind of answer you're lookin for Brandi. Are you looking to buy something "new", "used" or something that fits your style? Something efficient, or green? Or are you asking just about what's new on the market that piques interest?

I already have an antique car for a hobby and I don't have room for another. For a new daily driver I'm thinking Volkswagon Jeta with a diesel engine. Better fuel mileage than a gas engine. I drive a lot every day.

    I wouldn't get a new one. . . would get something 2-3 years old.

My last few cars have all been diesel-powered. You get way better mileage.

Go for something that you really see yourself using for a long time. cause changing old car nowadays is very costly. oh and also ask the dealer for the consumption rate of the car.. gas price is getting pretty high..

We do not buy new cars anymore, 2-3 y.o., low mileage, vehicles are far more economical to own.

This is true of the new technology vehicles, if not even more so. My hat is of to OldTool and the others who are buying Nissan Leaf's and Chevy Volts, but I am not going to be a willing test pilot.

The question is a bit broad.
What do you need your vehicle to do ?
If you can't get one that ticks all the boxes you may need to have 2 cars, or even 3, or more.
    :)

I bought my current car -- a Chevy Cavalier -- because of the color (copper). I couldn't afford much so I got it basically stripped of everything. But hey, it's copper colored! And just last week I made the final payment on it. Woo hoo!

And I can do without the CD player and auxiliary jack and automatic windows and door locks, etc. What I miss the most? The "feet only" option on the heater!

I don't care what my next car is as long as my feet can stay warm.

Chevy with stick shift-reliability with good gas mileage.

Best car I ever had-Geo Metro with stick shift. 45 miles to the gallon and no mechanical problems. I drove it 170,000 miles before I had an accident that killed it.
