The majority of males in the US are circumcised when they are babies. The extra skin covering the head of the penis is cut off. Some are done for religious purposes and others are done because it is easier to clean and less prone to germs and infections.

As Ran said its mainly a sanitation problem in cleaning the penis. Cut penises can be easily cleaned and are less prone to infectious diseases

 

i believe that getting cut is also part of the Muslim faith. and it makes you dick look bigger

 

the hygene part obviously doesn't apply anymore, and hasn't for a long time.... you know almost every house in the US has WATER ! it's amazing....
that said in the US people bathe and shower much more frequently than in europe.

You're right, according to my husband, who is a pediatrician. He feels that there is no medical reason to do the procedure any more. So what we have now is partly just inertia, and partly cultural.

 

its basically the cutting off of foreskin.. which is the loose skin on the tip of the penis. im not sure why people cut it off, im assuming for looks, im uncirc, my dick works fine and i've had my fair share of ladies, they may not like the "look" of it, but honestly how long does the girl end up actually looking at your dick? its stuffed in some hole by the time its taken out anyways

Maybe, but there are compensations...uncircumcized ones are more fun to play with.

 

Uncircumcised men have better sex because the cock is not desensitized. I think uncut cocks look better, but to each his own.
