I've worked in bars all my life off and on and there usually is a large selection, plus many imported beer...I'd always order a request for a good customer...

 

As far as beer goes, You can't beat a Stella...in my opinion

 

Blimey I'm agreeing with an Aussie - I always have a few Stellas in the fridge!

*ahem*.. youre right most bars do carry a wide selection of beers.. but as a bar tender i find i sell far more coors.. miller.. and bud.. than i do any other beer we have in stock.. bud light more specifically gets sold more than anything else..

every bar ive ever worked at was like that..

 

That is true those are three big ones..The light beers are also big....Probably more Miller and Coors light up here...I always pushed the Coors-great distributor will do anything for you if they can.......

one would think because i live here in texas id sell more corona or dos equis or whatever.. seeing is how the spanish population here is so saturated.. but alas.. it is teh bud.. teh miller.. and teh coors..

theyre the ones we sell in bulk.. sometimes 4 or 5 at a time its ridiculous..

i thought up north they sell more amstel light.. least thats what this couple from tenessee was telling me.. they were mad we didnt carry amstel anything..

 

around me, WI, we sell mostly Miller (for obvious reasons), Leinie's (which is a local brewery) and then Bud stuff and many microbrews...they are becoming more and more popular around is...coors isn't that big around where i live...i personally don't care for the taste...but i'm not a big beer drinker either...when i do, i prefer Leine's

 

Leinie is a good seller here too...yes and the small breweries do well...I like Rolling Rock myself...I like a smoother beer.........

RR is one of my dad's favs...he always drank it with a lime, like others do with corona...it seems here, the Wisconsinites are extremely loyal to their local businesses...be it beer or others...

rolling rock.. thats a name i havent seen in a long time.. we used to carry something very similar to rolling rock.. at least i thought.. i think it was called.. fat.. tire.. i want to say.. i could be wrong though.. im pretty sure it was fat tire.. im going to have to look it up..

liene's i dont think ive ever had the pleasure.. how is it, Cmama?? what would you compare it to if it could be compared??

leine's is short for Leinenkugel's. they make several beers, some only seasonally. They have there normal ones, Leine's original, Leine's Red, Creamy Dark, and a coulple others i can't remember, as i only drink the seasonal ones usually...they are Berry Weiss, Honey Weiss, Apple Spice and this year they introduced a Sunset Wheat, which is like a citrusy thing...i don't care for that one much...a combo thats good they call a Honey Bear, its half of the honey and half of the berry...its nice cuz the berry is a bit too sweet and it mellows it some...

 

hmm.. so its more of a flavored line of beers??

 

I like the Honey Weiss.....i've never had the Honey Bear....
