Sometimes it is many things; a feeling, someone's actions, an adventure.

 

well as it says in my signature I do not believe in True Love, when I say this I mean that I do not believe that a man and woman can love each other for life.

I think to many people lie and cheat to get what they want out of a relationship so the benefit from it.

Love between two people is:

• respect
• honesty
• trust
• reliance
• caring for the other when they are in need
• being selfless
• the actions to show all of these things above

I think that is what love is and I guess the only time I have seen this love is the love a parent has for their child and the love God has for all his children

Love is what you see in a child's eyes when he sees his parents

Love is a commitment. The "feeling" that we call love is just a superficial emotional response to hormones and chemistry. The real love comes when the giddy feelings have subsided and the day to day routine starts up. Waking up next to someone and not realy "feeling" love but knowing that you love them because you are commited to them and the relationship. Sometimes your kids piss you off and you dont "feel" love for them but you know you do love them. Same with your significant other. Just because you dont realy "feel" it doesnt mean scrap it and move on to the next one. It means a willingness to work through difficulties and the boring times.

Okay...now for the fun part...people picking this appart

This does not apply to women, some of whom never think about sex, even when they're having it....

 

Not I, that's how it's supposed to be, isn't it? Most people don't try to put in the effort anymore, or they want the other half to do all the work of maintaining the relationship.

My limited interpretation combines respect, desire, sharing, caring, fear, lust.
The only one I'll explain is fear because the rest are self explanatory, but my fear that with the loss of the woman I love, I would be lost, unable to function. One of the (I HATE this word) religious interpretations describes marriage as the formal recognition of two people becoming one - and that's not far from the truth for LOVE. Realising that without love you'd only feel half a person. The Minx and I have only been married for 33 years and have only known each other for two months longer, but heading into our sixties, that fear becomes more of a problem, only overcome by the other facets (the aforementioned sharing,caring etc). When you cheerfully care more for your partners wishes and wants and place your own on secondary status, you have reached that state.

Everything I have noted only shallowly approaches the true meaning, and If I could fully explain, I would be rich.:rose::rose:

 

If you don't feel it or receive it your life is being wasted.

 

I guess I don't really love him then, because every time I think about him, I think sex within 5 seconds. I just tried!!!
