  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

As the plutocracy increasingly exports good jobs, engineering majors are asking that too.

so all those loans for a degree in 'African American Studies' won't shoot you into the $100,000/yr bracket? Other than creating an army to teach such useless things to the next generation, what is the purpose?

Such 'degrees' should be banned at public universities, total waste of time and money. The company I work for has a director-level position called 'Director of Diversity.' Know what he does? None of us have a clue...

Majors like black studies, women's studies, and gay studies engender a sense of grievance and entitlement that will be a liability in one's adult life. The only thing I can think of that one might gain from something like that is better writing skills. Courses in those majors do require essay exams and term papers.

Many employers ask for "good written and verbal skills." Since I began to frequent internet forums I have been surprised at the lack of literacy among many posters, as well as the lack of general knowledge. Unfortunately, many people go to college who lack the intelligence to benefit from the experience.

What your diversity director probably really does is search foreign sources for high tech employees that can meet the educational and skill demands that most Americans lack.

I just grabbed a couple handy links to illustrate the problem. This one is from 2000 but talks about importing foreign workers because they worked cheaper than older American workers.

    http://www.adversity.net/special/immig_h1b.htm

And this one is from 2007 but talks about the same "racket."

    http://www.vdare.com/roberts/071204_america.htm

And here's a 2009 article from CBS News no less more less defending the practice of importing high tech workers because companies can't find enough Americans who are educated enough and highly enough skilled to perform the jobs.

    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/01/05/eveningnews/main6059551.shtml

So while better education is obviously a necessity if we're going to be able to compete in the global market I don't believe that's the only problem here.

Instead of addressing your obvious racism here allow me to point out your misconception and misinformation lest someone per chance believes that degrees in African Studies is even in the realm of reality when it comes to college degrees.

Here's the most current break down of US College Degrees that I could find and African Studies is not among them.

    http://nces.ed.gov/fastfacts/display.asp?id=37

The real problem is that across the board we simply do a worse job of educating our kids and our citizens than other countries do and its putting us at a distinct disadvantage.

A problem President Obama has pointed out and tired to do something about since the day he was first elected.

Ok an African American studies degree isn't going to get you shit now. IT will be next to impossible to find a job in the United States, and if you did, your pay would be shit and you'll be paying off your loan for the next 15 years.

Anyway, people, WATCH THE VIDEO, it isn't only about college, it is about how it is going to create the 2nd economic crash when these kids do not pay back their loans and realize there are no jobs available.

It also tells you how the cock sucker obama changed the law to make the government give out student loans. That way people in debt to the government can't receive social security or medicare.

Share the link! Post in on Facebook and let people know that if we do not change soon the United States will become irrelevant to society.

I have never heard of something like "Jewish Studies." Jews do not bother with that. They would rather study law, medicine, or physics.

The Jews have been persecuted for two thousand years, but they succeed against the odds because they are biologically superior.

From my perspective, there are several factors that cause college education to not behave like a free market:

-First, you have cheap credit. The gravy train got started mainly during the LBJ years, so naturally any industry that is subsidized is going to charge higher prices for poorer performance. When we put industries on a pedal and say, "We can't trust the free market because of the public interest!", they tend to become inefficient.
-Second, Congress turned around and said that even if you declare bankruptcy, your loans still stay with you. The government essentially gave companies like Sallie Mae customers for life (and beyond).
-Third, the government also gave protection to the loaners themselves, thus removing any kind of market balance. Normally, a company would not loan $40,000+ to an 18 year old who has no credit score. But with #2 and now #3, Sallie Mae also has a 100% guarantee that they will get a return on their investment. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what happens next.
-Finally, if that wasn't bad enough, the government also sets limit levels on things such as Stafford Loans. So every time they raise the limit, colleges everywhere raise their tuition as well.

He is almost certainly black. What he does is to keep your organization from being sued by the NAACP for discrimination.

What is the value in diversity? Homogeneous white and Oriental societies perform well without it.

rather a racist point of view DL

what about the other side of the coin

anti Jewish racists probably believe that Jews survive because like rats and all vermin they are difficult to eradicate

religion and race are no grounds for claiming superiority

    Ashkenazi intelligence

Cochran et al. write that according to some studies from the 1970s Ashkenazi Jews score 0.75 to 1.0 standard deviations above the general European average. This corresponds to an IQ 112–115...

The 2005 study "Natural History of Ashkenazi Intelligence" by Gregory Cochran, Jason Hardy, and Henry Harpending at the University of Utah wrote Ashkenazi Jews are greatly overrepresented in occupations and fields with the high cognitive demands. During the 20th century, they made up about 3% of the US population but won 27% of the US science Nobel Prizes and 25% of the Turing Awards.

Are you guys showing this to other people? Or even watching? This is serious shit...

There is going to be massive inflation if this continues...does nobody care?

Does nobody care all of you people who are 30 and up are not going to get social security?

And let me tell you something about this generation 18-25

They do not give a fuck, they have nothing to live for except being a wage slave to a system that doesn't give a rats ass about them

And if it comes down to the dollar being worth nothing, and food shortages, there is going to be a big fuckin problem.

Although the economic aspect to this problem is substantial, I believe we have an even deeper problem to address - one that is so dysfunctionally off the mark, I'm not sure how to even begin a correction.

Most young people lack a fundamental ability for critical thought.

We have an entire generation that expects to be told what to think and how to do things. They are stunned when you ask them to examine the present situation, imagine a future status and fill in the gaps between the two things. They want to know where the e-manual is that explains to them what to do next - the flow charts for troubleshooting. They are willing slaves to dogmatic one-way-to-get-it-done thinking.

Education should be subversive, not cooperative. Students should be taught how to think, then be encouraged to challenge every authority they encounter on their way to enlightenment (whatever that looks like). We, a society of deep insecurity, take great pains to say, "because I said so" and "that's the way it's always been done" and so on. We don't seem to want the next generation to question things because they might question us!

Fix the underlying intellectual problem and the next generation will figure out a way to expunge the money pimps and the academic whores out of the system. Without that fix, we're just breeding new cattle for the grinder. :-|

This is the truth as I see it. We've got an entire educational system designed to crank non-questioning, easily manipulated factory workers in a society that no longer has factories.

But I never though I'd see what passes for thinking now. And its more than ignorance. Its the inability or ingrained resistance to even find out. Even in the day and age of google and that just stuns me.

Earlier in this thread I mentioned the origins of our current public education system was the robber barons in an effort to create a class of available well trained workers for the railroads and factories, not to create critical thinkers. And more to the point, to do it with public funds rather than having to pay for it them selves. The public education system had remained effectively unchanged since that time. There is actualy a book about it and I wish I could remember the title and author but it details the history of public education and it was a very discouraging book. It was writen by a Harvard graduate who took his degree and started teaching. After working as a teacher in public schools and being awarded numerous state and national honors for being a great teacher he then quit and wrote this book exposing the realities of public schools and pissed off alot of people in the process.
