I think the "Selina" you are talking about is actualy Selina Gomez who is a seperate person and is in fact his girlfriend. As for Beiber himself...he is a product of Disney. They took someone that preadolecent girls thought looked cute and nonthreatening and made him into a pop star with crappy songs and goofy theatrics. Very much the same start as Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and a few others except this time they used a boy instead of a girl. Its a serious money maker and nobody at Disney cares how much older teens or adults hate it, the preadolecent crowd eats this shit up. Disney has made BRAZILLIONS of dollars off the whole thing and so has Beiber. As for the "ownership" issue...they are teenagers for crying out loud. Actually, it's a bit more than that.

Usher discovered him on youtube. Usher took a typical teenager from the suburbs of Canada, basically turned him as best he could into a white version of himself, and packaged him back to teenagers just like him as both a pop star and a "street-wise" R&B singer, helped by various co-signs of people willing to sell their souls for money and various featured guests on his songs. Look at the movie they made for the kid if you don't believe me. They try to make him out to be a rags to riches story when he's a typical teenager from the suburbs.

Like I said, they basically tried to make him a white Usher. Somehow, it seems to have worked with plenty of gullible, easily-led people.

I work with a bunch of teenagers.

These girls are all sixteen to twenty-one years old. They definitely HAVE discovered boys, and a lot of them seem pretty street-wise for their age. Even so, they all think Justin Bieber is the sexiest thing going. I've talked to women in their thirties through their fifties who seem to get a bit moist when his name comes up too.

The whole "ownership" concept (my Bieber) isn't all that much different than people talking about "my quarterback" on "my team," or the stupid plays called by "my coach." News flash, people -- you don't own the fucking team, and you sure as hell don't own Justin Bieber. Big media owns him, and they charge you big money to look at him.
