Now that being sad not just any one in PA is granted a permit to carry you hafe to prove that you put your self in more danger then the average person I for example was working for a private investigator firm for 2 years when i got my permit. My father was granted same permit because he with draws money for his business he can carry pepper spray and or a gun and no one can ask him to leave because he has a fire arm with him. Now im not saying people with these permits should walk around every were with them no need to go into a chucky cheese with one who you protecting your self from the kids ? I suspect that not everyone in Afghanistan is happy with the U.S., but I imagine that there are some who dread the Taliban more than our country. Same with Iraq. And mind you, I'm no where near up on world politics, so I'm not qualified to speak authoritatively, but, I do know that we sent $3 billion to Israel last year, and $1.5 billion to Eqypt. We sent $800 million to Columbia/Bolivia/Peru to combat drugs. Three quarters of a billion went to Pakistan. Jordan got half a billion. Ethiopia got half a billion in 2007, so maybe they're getting more now. Kenya too, about the same. Haiti got a quarter of a billion in 2007, probably a lot more, because, you know, we help out when countries get devastated. Bunch of other places too.

I know what you mean when you say that people attack your stories because of your views on the Threads. It seems that if they can't attack your arguments they attack your stories. I've been told to play it cool and not get into any heated arguments but what the hell, it' part of the fun.

I find that when I debate with intelligent and well educated people, I don't need to call them names and such... unless the other side opens the door and begs to be told what I really think of them. And then, I still keep it light... by suggesting that they are being deliberately obtuse or suggesting that they are having difficulties understanding the issues. When that happens to you, I notice that your weapon of choice are words such as .... dweeb. In case I become a target of your ire, what the hell is a dweeb?

"Dweeb" is a derogative term used by a character who is broken, and in the midst of a self-described "descent toward hell," when she flips personalities and transforms from a reclusive and misunderstood genius to a homicidal psychopath and self-described "whore of Babylon and bringer of death, destroyer of worlds."

Another character I like to use quite often is the persona of a "talkjock," a fictional conservative radio talk show host, named Gregory Collins. If I sound like a far-right conservative on the GD Forum, it is because I am presently posting chapters in which Gregory Collins features, and I enjoy his character.

Am I really a conservative "teabagger-Republican?" Who knows? I do, but no one else does. Not even Stumbler.

So, why am I using the term "dweeb" in the General Discussion forum? Not because I wish death on my adversaries. It is a marketing ploy. I want people to read my books. My signature, which changes constantly and at the time of this writing is particularly incendiary, always contains a link.

If I did not want people to click on my link, I would not be posting in the GD Forum. If I did not have books to post, I would not be here at all.

 

I am very new here but I think that the reason the censorship message is there is to keep this site safe from those who could shut it down.
