the reality is that a grown man can take care of himself either way.

about the other sex, maybe you were raised in some fucked up
household where you were never allowed to complain or voice

what's really annoying is when women don't make sure he's okay
with it first, they just assume he wants this because maybe
some other guys like it. i didn't become the success i am today with
needing to be mothered, i can take care of myself.
even my own mom respects that from me.

Absolutely not, not even in the bedroom. If a women gets like that, I start to feel uneeded. Being pampered and spoiled does not excite me at all. Call me old fashioned but I like to feel as I'm in a position where I can call the shots, do something spontaneous, I like to feel like 'if my GF needs taking care of' that she can count on me because I'm the one for that job.

I love women that are strong and independent, but not ones that are controlling, belittling, or try to treat you like a child. Might all be with the best of intentions, but i'm pretty sure thats not what most guys want. I think they want to be made to feel like a man.
If however if that is what the woman wants, then she should find a different type of guy. It is definitely not for everyone.

Quite the contrary, little man. I was raised in a household where my parents stayed together until they died, in a complete partnership. Both worked, both contributed financially, both took part in raising their children and both encouraged all of us to speak our minds and develop our own opinions.

The thing about you is that you constantly complain about the other sex. I have yet to see a positive thread from you. You ask questions, never bring up current affairs, and then complain when someone (usually a woman) challenges your antiquated views on modern relationships.

Trust me when I tell you I am not at all tormented - just really amused by close-minded individuals who think they have the answers to all relationship issues between men and women. One who is obviously alone.
