You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

Einstein said THAT huh.... Well he also said this. hmmmmmmm.....

"The most beautiful and most profound experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the sower of all true science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their primitive forms - this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness."

Good example brother. lol The Truth is science is irrelevant in this conversation. And if you cant feel a spiritual or mystic side to life, as Einstein put it, you are good as dead. You are automatically irrelevant in the conversation because you cant comprehend it. Simple as that.

I don't generally get involved with religious discussion on this forum for many reasons,

However in your case I will make an exception and state the following facts.

    1. You have no fucking clue what it is to be a christian.
    2. You are not a christian.

You can call yourself anything you want, it doesn't make it true, and people like you are an embarrassment to Christians.

Again if you are going to criticize then tell me what it takes to be a real christian? What am I doing wrong and against the teachings of Christ? Do I have to identify myself with a cretin church. Do I have to behave in a nerdy stereotypical fashion, Do I have to stand on street corners and yell about the bible? BTW the answers to all these questions is NO

So everything that I have read in the bible leaves me clueless about Christ? uh huh... good point... Thanks for contributing. But you obviously have know idea about Jesus and the teachings of Christ. Have you even read the bible to make such a bold statement like that.

I just saw an interview with God and she said she doesn't believe in 40% of Britain; but when pressed by the interviewer, she refused to say which 40%, and instead damned him to eternity in hell.

You do realise that the bible was written after his supposed time, and has suffered mistranslations down the ages, also it as been censored in favour of different beliefs. Yet you use it as a piece of first hand evidence. You have no god, nor messiah, you are praying to an empty space. Stop looking for the meaning of life and why you are here and start leading your life.

You are what is termed a "selective christian", you may read the bible but you only apply the conditions of the teachings.........................

AS YOU WOULD DO ANYWAY IN YOUR LIFE.

You do nothing else whatsoever to follow the teachings of Jesus and his disciples.

You say....."But you obviously have know idea about Jesus and the teachings of Christ. Have you even read the bible to make such a bold statement like that"

That's why I will not discuss religion with people like you, there is just no point.

You are welcome to you beliefs, with pleasure.

Just don't tell me you are a Christian when you are clearly too fucking stupid to even begin to grasp the concept.

I'll say it one last time. Christianity is not about some kind of cosmic bargain. It's not 'I do this, and God rewards me with this'.

It's 'I do this, because it's the right thing to do regardless of any hope of any reward'. The fact that you try and 'trade off' one set of sins against another speaks volumes.

You are correct. The Bible does say that man is not - cannot be - without sin. But that shouldn't stop you from trying, and you are clearly happy to settle with some sins that you seem to like to call inevitable - but all you're doing is rationalising why it's somehow 'okay' to do them.

And, in terms of Christian philosophy, that's not really on - at least, not unless you're a Catholic. Do you go to Confession?

You can believe in a higher power all you like. I am not, and would not, try to disabuse you of that right. If it makes you happy, then more power to you. But please - don't label yourself a Christian, because you're a poor one. Christianity, once again, isn't about trading one set of sins you don't fancy giving up against the fact that you forgive people.

The ultimate aim of religion is to achieve morality through divine worship. Turns out you don't need religion to attain morals.

    Who woulda thunk it?

The awe of science and understanding is what he finds spiritual, our ability to grasp such concepts is an indication to how far we have came, given that you put "blah blah blah" you probably didn't read the rest of my post.

Here are some direct quotes from Einstein

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."

"During the youthful period of mankind's spiritual evolution, human fantasy created gods in man's own image who, by the operations of their will were supposed to determine, or at any rate influence, the phenomenal world... The idea of God in the religions taught at present is a sublimation of that old conception of the gods. Its anthropomorphic character is shown, for instance, by the fact that men appeal to the Divine Being in prayers and plead for the fulfillment of their wishes... In their struggle for the ethical good, teachers of religion must have the stature to give up the doctrine of a personal God, that is, give up that source of fear and hope which in the past placed such vase power in the hands of priests."

"Thus I came...to a deep religiosity, which, however, reached an abrupt end at the age of 12. Through the reading of popular scientific books I soon reached a conviction that much in the stories of the Bible could not be true....Suspicion against every kind of authority grew out of this experience...an attitude which has never left me."

"A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death."

I have to contend that Americans do NOT believe in God at a rate of 90%. I wouuld believe that 10% are not in any way spiritual but "God" as defined by the Bible is only one of many belief systems promenent in the US today. There are literaly dozens of "higher powers" currently in the market for religions in the U.S. According to most Christian organizations only about half of Americans describe themselves as Christian which includes Catholics.

If 90% of Americans do not believe in God, then 99% of Americans must live outside the South.

I know I am generalizing here, but I am trying to lowball this estimate: EVERYWHERE that I have been in Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas and Louisiana (the only states I have reference points in), about 75% of what goes on has SOME connection with church.

Pope Dies and Goes to Heaven

Pope Dies and Goes to Heaven

There was a Pope who was greatly loved by all of his followers, a man who led with gentleness, faith and wisdom. His passing was grieved by the entire world, Catholic or not.

As the Pope approached the gates of heaven, it was Saint Peter who greeted him in a firm embrace.

"Welcome your holiness, your dedication and unselfishness in serving your fellow man during your life has earned you great stature in heaven. You may pass through the gates without delay and are granted free access to all parts of heaven."

"You are also granted an open door policy and may at your own discretion meet with any heavenly leader, including the Father without prior appointment."

"Is there anything which your holiness desires?"

"Well yes," the Pope replied. "I have often pondered some of the mysteries which have puzzled and confounded theologians through the ages. Are there perhaps any transcripts which recorded the actual conversations between God and the prophets of old? I would love to see what was actually said, without the dimming of memories over time."

Saint Peter immediately ushered the Pope to the heavenly library and explained how to retrieve the various documents. The Pope was thrilled and settled down to review the history of man's relationship with God.

Two years later a scream of anguish pierced the stacks of the library.

Immediately several of the Saints and Angels came running to the Pope's side to learn the cause of his dismay.

There they found the Pope pointing to a single word on a parchment, Repeating over and over, "There's an 'R', There's an 'R'!!!"

"Look, the word is celibrate, not celibate!"

No no...you misunderstand...I am not saying 90% dont believe in God...I am saying that the idea that 90% believe in God is wrong. Christian organizations have found the number to be about half of Americans believe in God and describe themselves as Christians and about 10% believe in nothing at all. The rest spread themselves between some sort of other spiritual pursuits like Bhudism or whatever. I made the statement that I would contend that Americans dont believe in God at the RATE of 90%. Thats all.

    RETARTED.

You are what is termed “a TWAT”. How can you sit there and tell me that I have in no way changed my life, attitude and behaviour towards others because of the teachings of Christ, without knowing me or at least reading ALL of my posts. Ignorant and arrogant. Good combo asshole. You are either illiterate or just stupid. By the way my own personal faith is irrelevant in this discussion. I HAVE made changes to improve my morals and attitudes based on Christ teachings. And I am in the process of making more changes. And I have already stated some of them. READ THE THREAD BEFORE YOU COMMENT ON MY BELIFES!

So clearly I make a conscious attempt to apply the teachings of Christ in to my daily life and have stated this already in the thread. But your dumb ass was obviously either too lazy or too dumb to read the words. Could you please tell me again why I do not qualify as a Christian, according to the bible. Not to any specific denomination. Your first reason to question my faith is invalid.

Yes, I can see that you prefer arguing with people who like you have not taken the time to read what they are talking about. This is called ignorance... it is bliss.

Have you at least read half of the New Testament? (Remember lying on the internet is the same as lying to yourself because nobody really gives a fuck.)

If you have not read at least half of the New testament, there is no point in discussing the teachings of Christ with you. Because you do not know them.

Oh really!!! I can have your permission to call myself christian. Did you think that I was concerned of whether you or anyone else considers me christian? I have stated that I am still discovering my spiritual side and I am choising the path of Christ to do that. I am not a perfect Christian nor have I ever said I was. But I use Christianity to think about and contemplate my actions in life. This includes sinning. Perhaps one day with this spiritual meditation, I will be able to live my life as a perfect Christian. I am in my early thirties. I still have a long road of spiritual enlightenment to go. But for Now I think I have the right to call myself Christian. Don’t you?????????

In fact I have stated that spirituality is a personal thing for me. And I dont go around real life stating and preaching my religion. I guess you were to dumb to read or understand it the first time so I will post what I said, again.

    GO FUCK YOURSELF!
