Hey people; I am disturd on gays are they made or born this way as for me I think they are born this way with female hormons. What's your take on this?

Gay persons are born that way. You can't be made gay (?). So, nothing to be disturbed about. Just accept them the way they are.

 

I believe that gay or not comes down to attraction. If you find members of the same sex to be attractive to you and they can inspire romantic feelings then you are gay. I do not think anyone ever consciously decides what they find attractive, those feeling are there or they are not. This lends evidence to the hypothesis that one is born gay or not. However sensory perception in very early life probably is a factor as well.

If anyone knows of any reputable studies on these matters please let us know.

 

First of all, I find it interesting that when you use the word "gays" you specifically are only mentioning gay males and excluding lesbians.

Secondly, I think before you further discuss the issue, you should do some basic research on the science surrounding homosexuality because your post is making you look really ignorant.

All I'm saying is that sexual attraction is just that; sexual attraction. No one should be berated for their preference. I see so much of it here, i.e. the criticism. It's hypocritical for one to praise homosexuality while not even considering others' 'unacceptable' preference. Blows me away.

 

I would recommend to keep your sexual prefence quiet if it is against the law to act on it.

 

I think it maybe partially genetic, but can't completely discount environmental factors. I have heard of identical twin sisters that were separated, one was straight and her sister was gay. Upbringing from an early age can have an effect on how the brain is wired together, and therefor I think it could play a role. I don't think it is a case of someone having a gay gene or not, as that would not likely be a trait passed down for obvious reasons.

I don't think people have any choice in their sexuality, and there is no way they can change it, which is an assumption people make when you say homosexuality maybe environmental.

As far as identical twins go, the differences in sexual orientation have nothing to do with the twins being or not being separated. The rate of both twins being gay in fraternal twins is about 20%, the rate of both twins being gay in identical twins is 50%. Period. Regardless of whether they stay together or are separated.
