  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

President Obama's chief mistake was in not raising the top tax rate like President Clinton did. Obama should have done that right after his inauguration, when his approval rating was close to seventy percent.

:rolleyes:Another stupid statement that makes the writer look like a moron.

Yes, gas prices averaged in the $2.70 range when GW was president, but they SPIKED to $4.70 when he was president, too..........

..........AND they dropped to $1.70 during OBAMA's presidency!

Hell, you could say GW CAUSED gas prices to RISE single-handedly, since prices were only $1.80 on average when CLINTON was president (a DEMOCRAT).....

.....oh! OH! Gas prices were only $1.00 a gallon on average when CARTER (a DEMOCRAT) was president!!!

.............oh! OH! OH! Gas prices were only .32 cents a gallon when KENNEDY (a DEMOCRAT) was president!

Do you see how fucking STUPID your statement is?

(I guess not, because you were dumb enough to make it in the first place)

When Bill Clinton raised the top tax rate to 39.6 percent, the unemployment rate declined to 3.9 percent. It had not been that low since the late 1960s when the top tax rate was 70 percent.

I know it is nit-picking, DL, but CLINTON did not raise the tax rate (although he approved of it); the DEMOCRATIC controlled Congress did---when they had BALLS and were not brow-beaten by Republicans AND this was actually the start of the major Republican plan (which has now been going strong for 20 years) to brainwash the American people that THEY are overtaxed (when Americans pay practically the lowest taxes in the world already) so that they will elect Republicans who are more concerned with lowering the tax rates on multi-millionaires than lowering the ALREADY LOW tax rates on the Middle and Working classes.

The American Free Enterprise System is Failing

Forbes likes to publish a "Misery Index," in which "misery" is defined as high taxes. In other words, the country with the highest taxes is the most miserable, the country with the lowest taxes is the least miserable. The most recent Forbes Misery Index that I have been able to find is for 2009.
    http://www.forbes.com/global/2009/0413/034-tax-misery-reform-index.html

However, "The top countries best surviving the global recession, according to a survey of 7,500 businesspeople from 24 nations.

    1st - Australia
    2nd - China
3rd - India and Singapore (equal)
    5th - Hong Kong
    6th - Canada
7th - Japan and Qatar (equal)
    9th - New Zealand
10th - Malaysia, Sweden and Vietnam (equal)"
    http://www.lendingcentral.com/2009/05/27/australia-best-placed-to-beat-recession/

Now of these twelve countries, nine have more "misery" than the United States, according to Forbes.

In addition, of nine developed countries with lower unemployment than the United States, all rate higher on the Forbes Misery Index.
    http://www.bls.gov/ilc/intl_unemployment_rates_monthly.htm

So what does this mean? What it means is that many countries with higher taxes than the United States are not miserable at all. They have well functioning economies, low unemployment rates, and well financed governments.

Wingnuts need to stop comparing the Untied States with Cuba, or Venezuela. They need to stop chanting, "Socialism has failed," and they need to take notice of the fact that the American free enterprise system is failing.

Thanks for injecting a little reality in this. The Obama haters make me laugh because they will grasp at any possible straw they think will keep their fear afloat.

Actually I think President Obama is doing a good job of what a president can actually do. He can't wave a magic wand and bring back the millions of jobs the conservative/Republican/Tea Baggers exported.

Especially since all the conservative/Republican/Tea Baggers have done is kill more jobs since they got elected and nearly everything else possible to bring on a second recession.

I also agree with this statement entirely.;)

Logic ain't really his strong suit. If we followed it on another thread SpongeBob Squarepants would be the most credible news source on cable TV because that's what most people watch.

Unfortunately, this has been going on since 1980. In the presidential campaign then Ronald Reagan said that tax cuts generated so much economic growth that he could cut taxes, raise defense spending, and balance the budget by 1983 "if not sooner" without cutting popular middle class entitlements. Naturally, he could not do this, and he did not, but most Republican voters still think it is possible. They have learned nothing from the experiences of the Reagan administration and the administrations of Big Bush and Little Bush.

I understand what you are saying, but the Reagan Republicans in Congress actually did significantly lower the Middle Class tax rates, and they have remained low since.

The problem is less that Middle Class taxes are already low, but rather that the tax rates of the wealthiest 10% are MUCH too low; corporate taxes are MUCH too low (without some guarantees that corporations are actually DOING something with those tax savings to bolster the American economy instead of hoarding wealth and sending jobs overseas) and that, in the face of even low rates of inflation over the last 20 years, Middle Class Americans are making LESS MONEY because of cuts in salaries and benefits (that have only made the rich richer), and so, to make up for loses, the Middle Class expects to receive even LOWER tax rates.

The way to solve this is NOT through REPUBLICAN LIES that they can deliver lower tax rates and still boost the economy----it is putting the reins on runaway corporate irresponsibility that is encouraged and supported by REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP, and keep jobs HOME, pay people wages AT EVERY LEVEL that are fair, and let them pay their tax rates to keep the government going.

Real after tax income for eighty percent of the American people has declined since 1980, while real after tax income for the richest one percent has increased dramatically.

More of the USA is opening their eyes daily, this guy has no chance at a re-election, the only people who will vote for him are the ones who want their free hand out.

Look how they continue to post paragraphs and charts trying to prove this guys worth.

All you have to do is point at the status of the USA, no jobs, high taxes, high gas prices, mass inflation, and no production.

Cant argue with facts, this man failed you, they will never admit it though.

    What I posted was a 100% fact

Gas was never $1.70 while obama was in office, not in my area it sure wasn't, and we aren't talking about other presidents, we are talking about obama, but typical liberal morons like you like to change the topic at hand when your getting owned by factual information.

Also, gas was never $4.70 while GW was president, but it sure is now in some areas, and you can thank obama for that :excited: it will also continue to get worse, along with food prices. Heres your change sucker!

Just as I expected from you: no insights, no facts, just raw prejudice, arrogance, and fresh revelations of your unshakable ignorance.

If a Republican is elected president in 2012 it will be because the GOP fools poorly educated, low income white Republicans into believing that they benefit from tax cuts for the rich. There is a good chance that the GOP will succeed in this scam. Some people are too stupid to learn from experience.
