Im not sure if this thread belongs in the Sexuality Forum, but this question has been on my mind. I was listening to the Radio this morning and they were talking about people dating outside ther own race and it got me to thinking because my GF is white and if you havent noticed by now i am black. Now i live in South Carolina and which is in the deep south where im sure some people have a problem with it, But i want to know what everybody else thinks about it. Do most people still have a problem with interracial dating or even marrage.

 

I don't think it's even in issue now a days, at least not in Canada

 

I have a huge promblem with it... just kidding. I think it doesn't really matter as long as you care for the person or it might just be someone trying to get some ass from someone either way i don't think it does matter. But there are always going to be those racist people that are going to have a problem with it.

 

I don't have a problem with it, but I imagine a lot of other folks around here would.

I've lived in larger cities like Baton Rouge and New Orleans. There, it wouldn't be a big deal at all (especially N.O.).

Currently, I live in a small city. Here, it would probably still be a head turner.

I have family that lives in very rural areas. I imagine it hardly exists out there, and they would probably have a real problem with it if it did. Then again, a lot of those folks would have issues with you even if you weren't dating a white girl.

Well over here there isn't that much problem with it. At the end of the day we are all humans. And free to make our own choices. So if shes hot go for it.

 

i understand exactly where youre coming from..

i myself am half white and half puerto rican.. so no matter who i date im kind of dateing outside my ethnicity..

personally i dont see color when i see men.. i see men.. but i suppose being of mixed ethnicity you tend to have a broader sense of that reality.. even more so since im a military brat.. there was an episode of real life on MTV about interethnic couples.. i thought it was very very interesting cause.. you wouldnt think it considering the kind of environment it is..

but even in the homosexual community.. interethnic couples are sometimes looked down upon.. pretty shitty hunh..

i see nothing wrong and everything right with interethnic dateing.. personally i dont even call it interethnic dateing.. i just call it dateing..

 

I personally don't have a problem with it, hell I don't see race when I look at girls I wanna date, sleep with, etc, I just see an attractive girl. My friends have all dated outside their race, and the ones who haven't have wanted to but since I live in such a different area than the South where we're def. not as prejiduced and since everybody's so similar, race doesn't matter much, my opinions would probably be different than say somebody's in a small southern town

 

Well like i said i live i the south sooooo some people down here have a problem and some people dont, i guess it jus depends on exactly where u r i think

 

^^ youd actually be surprised how tolerant some people are in the south.. i live in texas and ive seen more interethnic couples in san antonio than any other city in the state..

 

by South I meant the Southeast: Missisippi, Alabama, Georgia, places like that

 

oh ok yeah.. places that are obviously less tolerant.. gotcha.. ..

 

I spoke to some old scrag not long ago who was horrified that I was in a mixed marriage..

She meant catholic and non-catholic.. SO.. I guess the world is full of fucknuckels.. if they don't give you shit about your color.. they will give you shit about something else.. bottom line.. people will give you shit.

So give em some back.. or don't.. depending on how upbeat and well adjusted to the world, your place in it.. and all the other fuckwits that live in it you are.

 

Eh....i still get stares sometimes, but its usually from black chicks and i can almost tell what there thinkin, Its like there think "Why is he with her"

As regards your question, no. I don't have a problem with people dating outside their race, religion or sex.

 

in england everybody mixes black white indian chinese whoever and whatever. get on with your life and date whoever you want to
