  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

It'll be interesting to see the the impact on this on the numbers of posts - I know I'm guilty as hell - so i'll moderate my posting myself - Can't help but feel that the element of jocularity will dry up to a large degree - are you gonna start to ban offenders that try to raise a smile occasionally?

    Sad world indeed.

Was gonna say something else, but it really ain't worth it

Wonder if an American moderator could have got away with posting this thread - freedom of speech and all that? Not de-railing - well much !

i was kind of wondering about this myself just yesterday..

this isnt the only forum i visit and post frequently at but upon getting here i noticed a lot of whats being talked about here and thought that this forum was just a little more lax on the rules.. considering it was a general discussion forum..

even when other members brought this up.. it was sort of brushed off or other members just ignored it completely..

i'll deffinately do my part to keep everything stream line..

I have noticed that some threads are just taken over by a few people chatting with each other, a chat room would most likely keep threads from being covered up by separate conversations. But why don't people who want to socialize and just converse or play with each other just start a thread to do it. Its not like it would hurt anything to have more threads, would it?

I think the Off Topic and Flirting threads are good examples of this.

Hello Tahtiana....still afraid I spell your name wrong, but not this time.

*waves* hi xena.. i used to love that show.. have you seen lucey lawless now?? she's gorgeous!!

but youre right a thread just for flirting with other members could be kind of interesting.. and ive seen other forums with specific themes have 'community threads' where members can just talk or chat about whatever.. tends to keep the boards chatter free..

Comments like this lead to threads being de-railed - hard isn't it?

Yeh it's about time we decided to get way too serious, and sit around smoking our pipes in our slippers, and consider weighty matters! It is a fucking porn site for christ sake!

Is there a pay related reward scheme for the number of members?

BB, I'm as guilty as anyone of this, I'm sure, but actually they do have a point. There are already plenty of threads onhere where we can all engage in conversational derailling, off topic chat, flirting, food talk, gossip, etc. Some of the memebres, myself included, also (in my case) but sometimes exclusively, want to iscuss a particular issue. It's their forum too. We probably need to rein it in a bit and stay off th threads that we're not actually going to contribute to. We can still have fun, and I'm not putting my slippers on just yet.:-D

Since this site is so well organized, why couldn't there be a seperate category for those who do "derail" instead of having to start new threads that seem to evolve in the "General Discussion" category? It would be kind of like a smoking/nonsmoking section in a restaurant and instead of calling it "General Discusion" call it the free-for-all or "Derailers Section" if you will and then those who are there won't have to worry about derailing and offending people? There are only 6 categories in this forum area whereas there are numerous ones in the porn movie section. I haven't counted them, but I know there are way more than 6 devoted to that.

just a thought....I'm going back to bed now..

NO - but the quips lead to a de-rail - I think your recent post in "What are you reading" is a case in point?

Now I might be on shaky ground here (Rather than Shakyzulu which would be a different thing entirely:cool: ) but I don't think a humurous response, or a reply to that, when it is directly linked to the subject of a thread is a deraillment.

Now if the next 10 or 15 posts on the reading thread are flowing from my comment then that would e a deraillment, but that's not what I did. Others might choose to, but I didn't.

Now if I'm missing the point and I shouldn't have injected what I saw as a bit of humour then please tell me, because I'm obviously missing the point.

All I'm saying is, it is incredibly easy to de-rail a thread accidentally with a bit of humour - which then gets responded to and so on.

It is however just as easy to re-rail a thread, but posting a relevant comment again - so is it really that much of an issue?

Not bothering with quote, to TRUMPET. In my opinion, interjecting such humour (note spelling, please) in relevant comments is not derailment. But if a conversation is started on that thread without relevant comments, I could see that. Now I can see people making a few relevant word comments,(to justify their being there) and still carrying on their irrelevant (note not irreverent) comments. That would be sort of funny too, really.:rose:

There are 7,054 comments on the "Off Topic" alone which shows how popular it is.

If I see a topic I'm interested in that has been going for a while, while I'm away, then I go and try to pick up what's going on. If it's full of chat (which might be funny, and was certainly fun, I'll grant you!) then I struggle to pick up the actual thread of what's the OP was asking or commenting on. So usually I leave it alone. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

If you want to keep that side-bar conversation going, and there's no reason at all why you shouldn't on here, then why don't we take it to the Derail, or the Off-topic threads, or even start a new one called "Not at all about (insert the serious subject matter here)".

I want this to be a place where everyone can enjoy themselves. That means that those that want to look at the pictures can, those that want to chat and flirt can, those that want to discuss weighty, or even trivial, subjects can. I suspect that most members want a combiniation of all 3, and several more uses that I didn't mention.

I think you need to seriously question how long the benefits of this thread will last - it'll probably drop off page 1 fairly soon, and then back to square 1

Still it'll probably make a few holier than thou people feel a bit better. Shouldn't we all lighten up a bit?
