I think threads become to much that that childs game of telephone.. hehe where you start by whispering the messaging into one childs ear and he whispers it into his friends ear.. who whispers it into her friends ear.. and the more the message gets passed around to different people. the more distorted it comes out when its finaly revealed...

the problem is not the natural gradual distortion of the orginal message. as we all know it never goes around the circle of children remaining in tact. its the complete disregard for maintaining the interigry of the orginal message.. post count +1 replies... basicaly...

i say X, what's the difference on threads like food, music, word games, etc.
I can't believe you need to read someone elses post......It's not a big deal on those........

Even the serious ones could use a little lightening up now and then, just to interrupt the mutual recriminations and insults.

these threads you mention'd RP are all offtopic threads... and I don't *need* to read them.. I don't read them.. unless I see one of them sugar mama's posting on em.. then I check in to see whats up...

I do have a serious side and definite opinions about things but the recriminations and insults don't work very well for me, so I stay away......

 

I never go to those and don't think most of us that come here to laugh and have fun go there either........It's not the way I read the message, perhaps I'm wrong....

I would like to make a personal observation here.

This morning I posted on FF's geography thread and WAS serious (not snide, sarcastic or sexy) and did not derail it. THEN, some A-hole starts with his crap about Americans. What's up with that?????
