I'm watching Sex & The City on TBS and Sam says, "My nipples are getting hard just thinking about him" and they censored "hard". WTH? LoL, you'd think they'd censor "nipples"!

 

This was something tthat was on my mind:
We get Peachtree Tv from Atlanta, they censor the bejeezus out of everything..
however on station like Space and Showcase.. nothing is censored..
Meanwhile.. on the comedy Channel, late at night they censor all the swears, which makes a comedians stand up routine kinda idiotic...

Who the hell regulates these censors?

 

What! Isn't that what is supposed to be funny?

 

......and all that censorship in a NATION that kills its own people in fruitless WARS, deregulates import regulations on MEAT products causing and estimated 100,000 Americans to die each year ..... and the BULLSHIT goes on...

For example .. the comedian tries to say "What the fuck?" and the "fuck" gets censored out...
We're all adults here, if your kid is watching that channel at 01:00 that it needs censoring, Your a bad parent.

No clue! I think you can get some pretty disturbing mental images just from watching the news... most of those censored jokes kids wouldn't get anyway, and if it's just censoring cussing, the kids hear worse from the naughty kids at the playground, I'm sure!

That particular news release was hilarious with the woman tiptoeing around what the cause of the throat cancer was. It's horrible though.

 

I watched the movie summer school with my brother many years ago late at night, and instead of bull shit, the character said Bull Chips

 

All censorship is unnecessary. Is there anyone here who didn't learn about their fetishes that they have today because it was censored? No. People will learn about what they learn about and muting audio or changing the words so that you don't hear them on TV doesn't help.

I learned all the supposedly "bad" words. I figured out all about dirty sanchez, felching, bukkakes, double penetration, double anal penetration, double vaginal penetration, scat, necrophilia, and nyancat even with TV and radio censorship.

It's just wasted time.

 

This happens to amuse me greatly. Some of the words they substitute in movies when shown on broadcast or basic cable are just hilarious.

I remember as a kid watching "Whatever it Takes" and they changed "asshole" to "dinkhead"

 

I don't know what most of those are and I have been hanging around here for several years. Does that mean that xnxx is overly censored?

 

This bit of censorship occurred in "The Jerk" starring Steve Martin. Movie version: Don't be so hard on yourself, how could you have known that was 'Iron BALLS McGinty'? While the T.V. version went a little like this: ....that was 'Iron BILL McGinty'.

As for the meat? Well there have been cases of people dying of poorly inspected and prepared meat.. not sure about the numbers...

However, both those items are unrelated to the topic outside it's use for irony..
The point being, I can understand a censor for childrens' programs and information aimed at children. But I think censorship is completely unnecessary for late night shows, when the kids should be in bed and the adults are watching. Methinks too many parents are letting the Television be the babysitter.
