  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

My first ever car was a full size 1978 extended Dodge Ram Van. Before all that mini van nonsense. Bought it used in 1982. My first new car was an '84 Grand Prix. Bought it new from the showroom. It was stolen in December 1997. I captured the theft on surveillance video.

LMAO .......... that reminds me of the time I stole my brothers car and took it to his school and did a brake stand on a speed bump and melted the tires to the pavement and the rims kept turning inside of the melted tires , lol .

The whole school ended up seeing it and , yes I had to buy new tires and still have a lump on my forehead from his wake up call , lol .

Sweet ride RK . Is that the one with the LT1 -350 four bolt main?

Talk about irony ............. I once sold a 1963 Acadian Beaumont Convertible (Chevy II) for 400 dollars and some years later it went through the roof in value and I ended up buying it back restored for 32,000 dollars , lol .

I prefer the old 396 big block , or L78 ........... but the L88 was a workhorse as well.

Hard to beat the old smallblock "rat" though for strength .

mine was the big block 350cubic inch and 350 hp....a limited engine but I put that L-88 hood scoop on it like the one in the picture...

L-88 was a balanced and blueprinted 427...a friend of mine had one...very fast but those corvettes could not corner worth a damn and could get you killed in a heartbeat. In a straight line they were hard to beat.

    here is your car

Yup ......... that is my baby . Not that exact one but one just like it .

Hard to corner in anything with posi -trac rear end .

Balancing is a great thing ......... I get an extra hard 1200 RPM out of my BMW engine just from that alone and actually surprised the Carmaker with my use of Chevy "racer brown" springs and retainers in the head to control floating the valves on hard torking races . I also used porsche sycromesh in the tranny to to make smooth speed shifting .

Might be boring but transportation is a necessary evil , lol .

The cost to upkeep vintage cars is nuts and I don't blame you for washing your hands of it .

Me and a group of friends were having a hard time getting the proper insurance to put on our vehicles and had to start our own Co-op insurance , with a huge underwriter policy from the same firm that we do our commodities trading through .

LOL driving a nice car in Dallas is kind of hairy...ever notice how half the people know where they are going so they are driving way to fast...and the other half are lost and wander from lane to lane looking at street signs.

Seems like I am constantly dodging someone...and where to park that there are no door dings....

about 6 years ago flew to LA to pick up a G Nose 1969 240 z Datsun
Drove it back and around Dallas for about 3 months and a guy offered me 6K more than I had in it.....that was the last classic I had....

Back in the day before Nissan called them self that huh , lol . It was a cool ride but the 260 and 280 were more refined but the one you show here had the highest intrinsic value for sure .

Our Insurance Co. is partly based out of Dallas if you need good insurance at a decent price , ours is user owned if you want .

Nice long nose to stuff a 302 into or the 289 , lol . Fucking things went like stink .

Looks like it's sister car the Mustang II

Japs stole everything from design to suspension to engine..

    Front--XKE Jag
    Back-the old Ferrari
    engine --Mercedes straight 6
    suspension-McPherson
    clutch-Triumph TR-6
    trany-Porsche

    They ran pretty good...

    but at the time I 1969 I had a 914 Porsche
first production mid engine with 5 speed manual...that fucker would corner..

    Just that same color blue...:)

Ironically the body of the 914 was made by Karman Ghia which is a volkswagon body , the same as the BMW 633i from around the same time .

That 914 was a great Targa body though .

The braking system was also volkswagon .
