  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

The Volkswagen was originally designed by Ferdinand Porsche. Hitler had the idea way before WWII to come up with a car that the average German could buy, and Porsche was selected to create it.

I have a Porsche 935 you can buy if you want , lol . I built it from a stock 911 targa and did the flare and ground effect restoration myself when I was a lot less busy , lol.

The wiring Harness burnt up and will cost about 8000 dollars to repair so it just sits collecting dust , lol .

I love the 928 but never owned one for some reason , I bought a 300Z Nissan instead .

Thanks for the info , I will call him when I'm back in Dallas , but it is in pretty bad shape . I booboo'd when I did some platform frame mods and accidently arc'd some ground wires while welding and it looked like a fuse on a stick of dynamite ............. I ran like a dog when that started and prayed it wasn't going to blow up , lol .

You and I have stomped around some of the same places;) My best friend had a Maverick and we went everywhere in that beast but his was red, six cylinder and three on the floor (modified from three on the tree.)

    My first car was a 1976 Plymoth Volare 4 door with a 318 V-8.

1970 Nova SS 350cid 4-speed, Bright Red, CragerS/S mags. Bought it in 1976 for a grand.

My current car, 1999 Crown Vic, Police Intercepter, Fire Engine Red, was a local Twp. Fire car.

By the way guys, some of your descriptions of your cars, mostly in the motor department are incorrect. I'm just say'in.

Don't laugh but mine was a 5 year-old 1964 Hillman Imp. If you were lucky you got one that was built on a Wednesday because on Monday and Tuesday the workers were getting over the weekend hangover and on Thursday and Friday they were already looking forward to the next weekend's piss-up.

I had mine for 24 hours before the clutch burnt out and when the garage wanted us to pay half the price of a new clutch we threatened to sue them so they gave us our money back.

My first real car was therefore its replacement, a 1964 Hillman Minx.

I sort of miss the days when you drive along sniffing the air vent to make sure your cars running ok.
First car was a Vauxall Viva but I often run around now a days in VW campers, I think the newest car I ever owned was only 15 years old.

I miss the golden age of cars. When cars were as much a work of art as they were transportation. When an idea when from drawing board to showroom in a matter of a couple months rather than year after year of the same old thing but with diferent headlights or a slightly changed grill.

When form was as important...or even more so than function....

    My 1st Car

My 1st car was a 1996 (P registration) Blue Ford Fiesta 1.25 LX, 3 doors, I had it from 2003 to 2006, It was a very basic car, It had no power steering, no electric windows, no air con, only a radio cassette player, and a tilt sunroof. It did drive ok though.
It failed the MOT in a big way so i sold it for £60.
I have had other cars since 2006 to 2010.
Now I have a 2006 Peugeot 206 HDI which is a lovely car to drive.
I got that in April 2011
