  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

NT, You're not talking to me, right? My first car was a 1961 Rambler Classic 6. Push button automatic and no power anything. Paid $125 for it in 1974. Sold it a year later for $150. Learned how to drive a stick in Dad's 1960 VW Beetle. 36 horses. Was that fun to play with. Mom wouldn't let me take my girl friend to the prom in it so she let me use the family's 1973 Chevy Laguna Station Wagon.

Holden is from Australia. The recent Pontiac G8 and GTO were renamed for the US market but were built by Holden.

I once bought an Amphicar from an American dealer that I restored and took it into the water . I was just waiting for it to sink but it didn't ,lol . Had the two propellers hanging off the back end while driving down the road as well(non retractable) , what a sight .

I also owned a 1963 MG Magnette 4 door, a 1966 Beetle, and a 1975 VW Rabbit before ordering the only car I ever bought new...a 1978 Chevy Chevette. No wonder I couldn't get a date, huh?

Those Amphicars are worth a pretty penny today if you can find one in good shape. Not exciting as a car or a boat though.

Now you're catching on. Seriously, 37 mpg out of that Chevette...when it would start.:wall: I could drive it for a week on $5.00 worth of gas. I don't think I can get to the gas station and back in my Ford Escort on $5.00 now.:mad:

Yeah, I'm sure that was it. Mom was always looking out for me. What she didn't know was that the '61 Rambler had seats that would fold flat into a bed. Nash Motors started doing that in the 50's and advertised it to campers so they wouldn't have to pitch a tent. Yeah, right.:-~
