  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Who are you planning on killing?.

You've moved on from thinking about something to actually getting ready to do it, now you're getting into a murky area.

Just make sure the person you get to do the deed with you ain't an undercover cop, otherwise you'll be completely buggered.

I have that film - and think its very good. Also good point. Still do you not think it questions your honesty and integrity to have thought about doing it in the first place?

Lol muppet. If I was going to kill someone then I would do it on my own.

I think that thinking or planning bad things is healthy, as long as you are sane.

If you are not sane it's probably not such a good idea.

No it is not a crime and need not be punished, unless of course a male has a fantasy about his smoking hot neighbour and tells his wife.

So who do you appoint to be the thought police? Even seen 'Minority Report'? What happens when someone fools the system. . . You arrest and persecute people before the crime is done.

There's a newsflash .......... Ng having naughty thoughts , lol.

There is a huge difference between thinking an act , and actually carrying it out. In some cases you should be ashamed of yourself for thinking them but there is not a soul alive that hasn't had bad thoughts at one time.

The down side is a scary little critter called "circumstantial evidence" and it can be a real bitch and there isn't enough paper to list all the cases of a person being convicted on "hearsay" or "circumstantial" evidence given against them in a court of law. Hearsay luckily is generally not allowed as evidence but it plants a seed in the juries mind regardless and human nature would suggest that it will stick in their mind.

Having negative thoughts is natural and a good tool to release frustration but there is a line that most rational people can see , and don't generally cross it. Just be very careful who you might share these thoughts with , lest it bite you in the ass later.

PS .............. I just had a bad thought , if I tell you , will you punish me ?;):rose:

what you talking about is the book 1984. complete thought control is insanity. when your own thoughts don't belong to you, you truly have an imprisoned society.

thinking a thought is about as harmless as taking a breath of air.

    Hey NG :)

In the UK there is no such thing as 'thought crime'.

However, it has to be said that planning a crime, even if you don't physically participate in said venture, IS a crime, whether it is successful or not.

And if I find out you've masterminded a crime, I'll report you - unless you share the spoils with me

Having a thought of wrongdoing is "premeditation" which is illegal , only if you actually carry out the thought.

You can be held responsible though if someone else carries out the act that you were thinking of as an "accessory to the fact" and happens all the time in the courts.

Keeping your thoughts to yourself is key ........... unless they are simply "naughty" and no harm can come from them , other then say - a spanking ,lol .

Under UK law at least, that charge could only stick if you were prevented from carrying it out: not if you decided not to.

At that, I have a suspicion that it might only stick if the reason you were prevented from carrying it out is that you got arrested. If you stand on Hyde Park Corner waiting to strangle a particular MP when he walks past, and he doesn't walk past and your plan is foiled - there's no crime.

Preparations to commit murder might involve the separate charge of carrying a deadly weapon, or whatever the official wording is - but the general point, I think, stands. Although I freely admit I cannot be certain.

As for thinking about doing something - hell no. You cannot be blamed for finding six month old babies sexually attractive. You can only be blamed if you do something about it.

The same could be true of planning to rob a bank, if you're caught BEFORE you abandon the plans.

If you had plans to kill the president but didn't go through with them, and the Feds find out a year later, there's surely not a lot they can do about it.

Yes but if the others do rob the bank , you can be implicated as an "accessory after the fact" or "conspiracy after the fact" if it can be proven that you had prior knowledge .

    thoughts

I have blown up lots of buildings IN MY MIND. In the Army a small part of my job was to blow up things to deny them to the enemy. As a civilian have I ever really considered doing these things? NO. Who among us has not, at one time or another, thought about things that would have us commited to the loony bin, or to prison?

However, how very very few of us have ever actually done these things? In any, case I can think about any thing my silly mind can imagine. If I never tell another person, anything, then there is no crime. If I am so stupid as to actually plan some evil WITH another person, there is the possibility that it may be a crime.

Some people suffer great angst over the moral or religious implications of such thoughts. That is their own life and I say let them live it.
