So the new season began in earnest yesterday with 14 games played. How did your favorite team do?

Mine sucked big time, the Titan's fizzled on both sides of the line of scrimmage, with a few late game heroics to make it look to be less of beating than it really was.

On the bright side, our former "veteran" backup QB did as poorly for the Colts and our new "veteran" did for us. So that exchange looks like was is a wash.

 

The 49ers won, causing my husband to lament that he shouldn't have put down that bet on the Seahawks. He's a 49er fan, too, but he says they never, ever cover the spread when they're the favorite. Until now.

 

The Niners won. They might not be the worst team in the league afterall. Although, it is only the first game of the season. Could go downhill from here...............

 

The saints lost but I still think they're going to be a good team. Drew Breed is still awesome.

 

Serves him right for betting against the hometown team. That's why I never, ever bet on the Titan's, but I did win a few bucks on the Niners this week.

 

He's just a contrarian at heart. He figures that everyone in the Bay Area bets on the 49ers and that inflates the spread beyond all reason. It's a sound enough theory, I guess...it just doesn't always work.

 

I'm a 49ers fan and I'm pleasantly surprised that we're still undefeated this far into the season.

Well my Cowboy's had a meltdown on the field and gave away a win , but to the credit of the Jet's ........ they took full advantage of Dallas's lousy play in the latter stages of the game .

Off the field some fucking retarded Cowboy's fan had a meltdown as well and how the fuck did he get a Taser past security ?????

Hoping the Broncos do well tonight. We have a lot to make up for after last season.

 

So far, it started out as total shit (except for the Jets doing the Cowboys)

 

If you mean by the Jets looking at the Cowboy's and telling them to go fuck themselves ......... then yes because the Cowboy's did themselves without the help of the Jets .

Jets played for 60 minutes , the Cowboys played for about 42 minutes .

 

Just a footnote to the playing time thing ......... did you know that the average actual playing time in a regulation game is 12 minutes and 50 seconds .

 

That's the way the game is played. You are in it for the duration, or you can kiss it goodbye.

My Vikings played their asses off (for the 18 seconds it took Harvin to run back the opening kickoff), after that they were asleep.

I could have score single handed against the Chargers' defense.

I am therefore looking forward to the #1 draft pick in 2012.

My brother in law flew off the couch for that Raiders block. He and my husband are taking jabs at each other all night. Damn, I wish they had gone to the bar!! Hate when the two of them are together for the Broncos v Raiders. They really should not be in the same house.

This Raider / Bronco's game puts a whole new meaning to the term "flag football" .

Last time I went to a Raider's game I spent more time watching the cheerleaders then the game .
