Can someone please explain to me how Tim Tebow won today's game with a 2/8 and 69 yards passing with both running backs injured in the game?

The guy didn't complete a single pass in the first half.

The only good thing about having a team that sucks so bad is the excitement when they actually win. lol

 

Yeah I saw that stat on the bottom of the screen during the 4PM games and thought I saw it wrong the first time.

I got it.

It was the 43 rushing yards and the rushing touchdown that he had that won the game.

But 2/8 passing? Really?


The ESPN guys are going to have fun with this all week.

 

ESPN loves him. If he took a shit and it was somehow televised, they would show it on the Top 10 plays.

 

I seriously can't see Tebow being successful as a quarterback but he does have the skills to be an elite running back

 

LMAO...okay...not funny, but funny....Tebow is an on screen darling....so is or was Romo....c'mon....the ones making the rooks out to be the "shit" have to find a way to swallow the "shit" they spewed with some grace....and eating crow (or shit) is not really a treat....physically or mentally ( unless you're into scat)

In basketball it was Rondo, then John Wall, then Griffin. They're all about money anymore and less about sports.

I don't know about elite but he could definitely be solid. He's got average speed for a RB I think but he's big and strong and athletic enough that he could either be a bruiser type or a very solid fullback.

I think it's too early to write him off as a QB though. His throwing motion can be fixed eventually. It's a question of whether or not he's willing to put in the work to be a good QB and whether or not he has the smarts the position requires.

That is a lot of people have said but it will never happen.If he doesn't stay as a starting QB he will end up as a backup.

That's exactly what I saw. He's built to be a bulldozer. If Bruce Miller can make a successful transition from DE to FB im sure Tebow will have no problems. I don't know if he can block but he looks like he certainly can dish out punishments

 

wait wait wait....sorry Baller, but it's not always the work the player wants to put in....it's dependent on how much the owner of the team is willing to put up, to train a multi talented person...or any player with potential, that will make or break the career of the player...there are so many players in so many positions out there, that don't have the training they should have and deserve because money is being poured into training a very select few instead of a whole team...that in it's self is how the NFL works these days....and we're wasting amazing talent by looking to a few guys who'll generate "face dollars"

He's becoming the face of their franchise and is a major name. Believe me, they are not skimping on training him.

 

Do you think Tebow might be better off as a backup for first year while learning ropes from a very capable starting veteran quarterback?

Yes I know its his second year but kyle Orton isn't exactly...a proper mentor if you will

 

Of course but that clearly didn't happen. When it comes to winning the way he knows how to, then throwing him in there like this is better but if he wants to become a real QB, he needs to back somebody up and learn the ropes and become a QB.

It looks like it can be a real good movie that id for sure.There are athletes of all types that can relate to it.

I am sure that he is more than willing to put in the work to play the position.The problem is to QB coaches he has got to be very frustrating because he has got a horrible pass release.

His motion is real wide.But he needs to practice on his release.

 

he's a face...but what face is it, that he's going to excel at? And what does the head think they need him for...that' what he'll be trained for...not necessarily what he's actually best at...

 

As long as the team keeps winning he his face will be looked at as the success.

He gets praised by the same guys that 7 years ago killed Michael Vick for playing the same style of football.But because he is bigger than Vick he gets a pass for being able to take more punishment.
