I like the Bronco's and also think that people need to give this guy a little credit. His team is rallying around him and at least trying with what they have to work with. Tebow was thrown into the fire and hasn't gotten burned yet and the experience he is getting right now both on and off the field is priceless for down the road and it takes class to credit your team for making him look good (although a bit modest). He reminds me of a great little QB named Doug Flutie that helped my Calgary Stampeders win the Grey Cup in 1992 and another 2 with the Toronto Argonauts in 1996 and 1997 before being signed with the Buffalo Bills in 1998. The whole time he was in Calgary, his back-up was Jeff Garcia who helped win us the 1998 Grey Cup before being signed by the San Fransisco 49'ers.

I still remember jamming with Doug and Darren Flutie with their band in Boston and was so proud of him when he was named #1 on the 50 best alltime CFL players in November, 2006 and inducted into the CFL Canadian hall of fame in 2007 ... the first non Canadian to be inducted.

I would be proud to know Tim Tebow and hope he has a great career and helps do for the people of Denver what Elway did all those years. Orton wasn't getting it done. I jumped on his bandwagon and hope all Bronco's fans do as well ......... and oh, btw, he did engineer a drive to get in FG range in OT and his front line was a brick wall as well allowing him time to throw.

At least the Bronco's rally to win games unlike my Cowboys that throw them away. :wall:

He wasn't thrown into the fire. Orton was so hated that the team was stuck in a morass of bad morale. Good grief, people were putting up billboards calling for Tebow. I will give him credit that he acted professionally through the whole thing. But no one is giving Orton any credit for never bad-mouthing Tebow, the owners, the coaches, the fans. He was a Class A act all the way around. Tebow wasn't thrown in the fire. Anything he would've done would have been hailed as the Great White Hope for the Broncos. The change in morale alone has been responsible for a lot of the team's success.

Yes, he's a nice guy. (But he has a wobbly pass.) I'm not saying that Orton would have gotten it done. He wasn't. He isn't a Tier 1 QB. But I don't think Tebow is going to be either. He's no John Elway. He's no Aaron Rodgers. He's no Peyton Manning. And ... here's the big one ... he's no Jesus Christ :excited:
