Interesting. We are getting e-mails all over the map on this one and they are leaning more toward Heyesey's post and I broke the Cardinal rule of betting by betting once on my Cowboys and once I sat on a fence and hedged them, but the rule is to never let emotion control your decision and to bet on your own team is fruitless (if you are a Cowboys fan, lol) and there are other more safe bets that don't include emotion in the mix. (the emotion comes into play when you are ripping up the ticket and it's all over but the crying at that point:razz

Just curious because Alex's parents own "The Steak Out" restaurants in Sonoita and Dove Mountain.

You might even know my Aunt and Uncle that own a Motel in Arizona. Not saying it is that small that you know everyone, but you may have seen it in passing.

 

I can't remember the name of it but I will ask them when I talk to them. I just remember that you had to get at least a 4 unit run on the roof if you wanted enough speed to make the swimming pool without bouncing off of the concrete first, lol. :excited:

 

I spent most of my time in Tucson and the majority of that, working two jobs. I did go out on a few dates, but only once outside of Tucson ( took a motorcycle trip down to Nogales)...but I have heard of "The Steak Out"...I might drop in, next time I go back down to AZ

Detroit v. Green Bay - the Lions will be #5 seed if they win, or Atlanta lose. GB has nothing to play for and may well rest a lot of its starters.

Tennessee v. Houston - the Titans must win and hope the stars align for them to reach the playoffs. Houston is locked into the #3 seed and has nothing to play for.

NY Jets v. Miami - the Jets can reach the playoffs with a win and a lot of help. Miami has nothing to play for except ruining a division rival's day.

Buffalo v. New England - the Pats lock up the #1 seed with a win. Buffalo has nothing to play for.

Carolina v. New Orleans - the Saints will be the #3 seed unless by some miracle the Rams beat the 49ers. Realistically, neither side has anything to play for.

SF v. St Louis - the 49ers lock up the #2 seed and a week off, with a win. The Rams could end up with the #1 draft pick if they lose and the Colts win.

Tampa v. Atlanta - the Falcons will be a wildcard team, but if they can beat Tampa and the Pack beats the Lions, they move up to #5 seed.

Baltimore v. Cincinnati - the Ravens lock up the #2 (or possibly #1) seed with a win. Cincinnati locks up a wildcard place with a win.

Pittsburgh v. Cleveland - the Steelers take the #2 (or #1) seed if they win and Baltimore lose. Cleveland have nothing to play for.

Kansas City v. Denver - the Broncos lock up the NFC West and #4 seed with a win. Kansas have former Broncos QB Kyle Orton trying to prove they shouldn't have got rid of him.

San Diego v. Oakland - the Raiders take the NFC West and #4 seed if they win and the Broncos lose.

Dallas vs. NY Giants - The winner takes the NFC East and #4 seed, the loser is out.

Meaningless games: Indianapolis/Jacksonville, Chicago/Minnesota, Washington/Philadelphia, Seattle/Arizona.


Looks like the must-see games are BAL/CIN at 4.15 and DAL/NY at 8.30.

 

You raise an interesting point there Heyesey ... if the Rams lose and the Colts win they get the #1 pick as well as head coach Steve Spagnuola's head on the chopping block and he already has one foot out the door.

The Rams don't have much hope of winning against SF but stranger things have happened, but what if the Colts "accidently" lost on purpose because they can definitely stay with the 4-11 Jags.

My head hurts to much right now to look at the standing stats to see how they would determine who gets first pick. What's your take?

 

I don't know which tiebreaker applies, but NFL.com news items have said that if they both finish 2-14, or both 3-13, the Rams "win" the tiebreaker and so the Colts would be the worst team in the league, and get the #1 pick.

Only if Colts win and Rams lose, do Rams pick first.

 

can you guys make me feel any better? Well at least my Colts aren't THE worst team...yet....
