As for cricket, it's just different is all. Nothing wrong with it or anything. They enjoy it and so do their former "colonies" it would seem so as long as they don't try to force it on us then live and let live.

Pujols is still one hell of a player though. It would suck if he turned out to be juicing given how amazing he has been over his career.

 

Cricket must have something to it, look at the size of the fanbase and it is like anything else ......... once you understand the rules and the premise of the game, you develop an appreciation for the game. You still might not necessarily like it but get it why others do.

That would suck if juicing did come into play and it's not unheard of in baseball but do you think someone could be that stupid considering the focus that has been put on steroid use and actually think they could hide it.

Lol you're probably right. There's more than a little bit of a chance that he's juicing.

But personally I want everybody who juices in any sport to be caught and tossed out for life, no exceptions. Anybody who thinks steroids are acceptable in sports in any form is somebody who belongs nowhere near sports. Period.

 

It does suck to know all the McQuire, Bonds, Sosa, A-Rod, etc moments are tainted. At least my memories of baseball go back to Roberto Clemente and Willie Stargell going up against the big red machine in Cinci. MLB was great in the 70s, most of the 80s. After that everything seems compromised.

 

Go Cardinals! I've been to many Cardinal games in St. Louis over the years.

The Cards always fill the stadium.

They are a great team.

 

It wasn't all bad. There was still Griffey Jr, and Cal Ripken and Maddux and Glavine and Smoltz and plenty of great players who probably never juiced.

Look at how impressive Ichiro has been over his career, and you know guys like Howard and Prince Fielder and Utley and Werth and others aren't juicing. Not to mention Chipper Jones.

It's a shame that the actions of certain players have clouded the whole era and even this one in suspicion and shame but there's still plenty to love.

 

They are a great team and like I said before, baseball has the best fans in the world and they make a big party out of these series and really "fun" it up.

And it really pisses me off to see people not call out players like Manny Ramirez as the disgraceful cheaters that they are.

Good link, but at least it was openly accepted. Steroids were permissable too before being banned. Today's players that continue to juice without detection are cheats. Being on steriods most assuredly enhances performance, being sustained by "greenies" isn't so clear or necessarily an advantage.

 

It will be interesting to see what happens with the stats now that they can detect HGH.

It sucks that someone like Pujols is under suspicion, but of course he has to be. That is what it has come to now.

As far as the Braves pitching goes.. some people tried to say the Phillies but I never bought it. Our rotation was great but we got Lee and Halladay and Oswalt in their thirties. The Braves had three of the best pitchers of that decade undoubtedly coming together in their prime, something the Phillies could've had with guys like Drabek and Happ and Carrasco.. and so on. Instead they traded for pitchers who are at the end of their peaks, though the Oswalt trade was a great one in my opinion.

Smoltz was always my favorite, though Maddux is probably the best out of all of them.
