And OP, if you look into it, Halloween actually has nothing to do with christianity. It was originally a Roman festival, celebrating the harvest. The Celtics had a related festival called Samhain, or the festival of the Dead. It was an honouring and thanksgiving to ancestors and spirits for the help they gave in, once again, helping with a bountiful harvest. It is a bastardized version of a British Isles celebration the "End of Summer".

The kids would dress up, originally, to celebrate and support the spirits that helped their family and community. The Angelican church, the Catholic church, Protestants and Roman Catholics alike support the very few links between Christianity and All-Hallows-Eve. In truth it is a non-secular holiday for all except the most superstitious and retarded of Ultra-Fundamentalists.
