K so I know there has been a thread similar to this but this narrows it down to a specific person. Say you had a child boy or girl doesn't matter who was the age anywhere from 14-19 years old still living at your house with you. What would you do if they were watching porn on the internet stumble across these forums then notice your profile find out its you then confront you about it?

Well, I might as well tell them the truth at that point, since they already know. It would be worse, in my view, if they found out I was cheating, or had committed a crime, or something like that. There are worse things than my son or daughter finding out that their mom has a very healthy sexual appetite.

Certainly it would be...and our kids will soon be at an age where we'll have to stop doing things like this in order to keep them from discovering it. But there will ALWAYS be things we do that we don't want them to know about -- I just hope that my various sins aren't such that they cause my children to lose their admiration and respect for me and for their father.

I'm not sure...but my kids ARE reaching the age where I'd have to go to great lengths to keep them from finding out about things like this. I've put that decision off for quite awhile, but I won't be able to much longer. I wouldn't want to underestimate how smart they are.

Well, there's a period of time when it's a problem...say, until they're 16 or so. At 12 or 13, they'd freak out. If they were 16, they'd probably just think that I'm a really cool mom.

 

Hang on - why do you consider yourself to be a pervert for being on here? Sure, there are members who are arguably perverts, but the majority just seem to have a healthy interest in sex and sexuality and this is an acceptable outlet and learning site.

If my kid found out I was on here I'd use it as an opportunity to offer them a discussion on sex and sexuality. Yeah, I'd die of embarrassment and probably change my profile, but I certainly wouldn't feel I was a pervert.

I think it's perverted to repress healthy sexuality or to have sex in the dark with pyjamas on, and to be fair I'm more worried about the effect advertising and war games have on young people.

 

Haha yeah they probably would. Your son would probably find it hot while your daughter might try to take after her mom's sexual ways. If I was 16 with you as my mom I would probably enjoy finding out you were a member. At 16 your so horny you will fuck anything so finding out my mom has a great sexual appetite would be awesome. I would feel like I could watch porn without trying to hide it haha.

 

If a child is learnt to think their mom or dad is secretly looking at naked men and/or women on the web, the first thing they'll probably do is go and tell their friends. The wrong kid will find out and from there the other parents will think their kid's friends have sexually deviant parents, especially if those parents are sexually repressed.

A family can lose its standing among its kid's friends and their parents too. They might offer child care and word of mouth could affect a parent's choice to trust said parents with their children.

Children are brought up to follow in their parent's footsteps because one of the first jobs of a parent is to set a good example. We all hope to let our kids stay innocent for as long as they can.

If I knew my dad was on a site like this I think I'd be celibate for the rest of my life or join a convent. It's gross to try and imagine someone who made me... doing those kinds of things

I absolutely agree that kids should stay innocent as long as possible, and that's the job of a good parent. However, if and when my kid is old enough to think he can come on sites like this without me knowing, he'll be old enough to drink and smoke and won't have to worry about playground bullying because he'll be too old for school. In my house their is a computer for the family which is monitored, and a laptop which is private and password protected. Kids do follow in their parents footsteps but they are also exposed to influences well beyond our control and I like to think I'm smart enough to keep my private life private and my kid respects that, even at the age he's at now.
When I was a kid my old man had a stash of playboy under the matress and I can assure you that even at a very young age I knew all about it, but knowing that enables me to ensure that my kid doesn't have my experiences and if he wants to look at things like that, which I'm sure at his age he probably does, he won't be doing it on my computers. What he does at his mates' houses is, of course, another matter.

If I was found out I would be open about it, to a degree anyway. I would have to own up to my past and my sexual eccentricities, but the details are none of their business. All they really need to know is that I would not cheat on my wife.

Still I would not want them too know. I am definitely not a pervert, my sexual interests and activities have never hurt anyone and so far as I can help it never will. Still, too many people are narrow minded, the less the prudes know the better.
