  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    There you go again.

Suddenly you know how the mind of such a powerful being works.

You have the balls (actually I don't even know if you're male or female....anywho) you have the balls to sit there and say things of such magnificent significance about the mind of god like you are an authority on it.

So, you deny that the position of the Catholic Church on (to pick a completely random example) the orbits of the planets in the solar system was completely, entirely, fundamentally wrong before the discoveries of Galileo and Copernicus? The church's position was based on statements in the Bible, which were also, of course, quite wrong.

Science may not have proven the nonexistence of god, but it has certainly proven, repeatedly, that religious beliefs about the nature of the cosmos have been consistently wrong.

And are you seriously suggesting that the account of Adam and Eve, as it's given in Genesis, is true, and has been proven so by science? If you really think that, you're more delusional than even I thought. That single human female had a mother and a father. So did that mother and that father. No scientist would dispute that. To pick a generation and say, voila, THAT is the beginning of the human species, is completely arbitrary. The evolution of homo sapiens happened very gradually, just as the evolution of every species proceeds very gradually. We didn't just appear like magic in a garden somewhere in Mesopotamia.

You're beginning to bore me, my dear. Patient as I am, even I cannot hold out hope for a sensible response for all eternity.

Why on earth would I deny it? What on earth gave you the idea that it even had a place in the discussion?

My point was that both religion AND science backtrack on their original views in light of new evidence. You answer this by showing that religion often backtracks on its views in light of new evidence. Is that not what I already said? What on earth are you on about, little rabbit?

Ironically(as if you ever miss the chance), what I also pointed out, was that while both sides often get it wrong the first time and change their views later, atheists only ever speak about the backtracking of the religious, as if their own never happened. And what do you do? Speak about the backtracking of the religious, as if your own never happened. This must be comedy.
And that atheistic beliefs about the nature of the cosmos have been consistently wrong. And that original scientific beliefs about the nature of the cosmos were consistently wrong. Where on this planet is your realization that, "everybody learns as they go," some sort of revolutionary argument? The only thing that is revolutionary is your ability to once again act as though the religious were the only people to have ever gotten it wrong. Stop being exactly what I say you are, it becomes tiresome.
When did I suggest it? Good lord, my good sir, it was a single paragraph; could you honestly not follow it!? Or are you just insistent on arguing with yourself?

My point was not that the Genesis story is or is not correct, but that one idea of the story, that humanity came from a single mother and father, was openly mocked by scientists and atheists alike, until the evidence said otherwise. The crux of everything, the crux of the whole discussion, was that each side often gets it wrong the first time. But while you are quick to remind everyone of how wrong religion got it originally, you are never even approaching movement when it comes to reminding everyone of how wrong science or atheism got it originally. And if you cannot delve into that shallow pond of thought, I will spell it out for you. You are hypocrite, a clown, and a coward. You are a constant and consistent barrage of repeating the mistakes of religion, while acting as if your own side had never missed a step. And when I have the common decency to point them out for you, you have the very strange ability to become blind.

That is cake and eating. That is so, so much cake and eating.

I am an atheist who studied scripture and was made a pastor. I do not practice of course. I was simply interested in how the God conspiracy was waged. It was most interesting learning subject such as "avoiding questions" "how to place blame on the questioner" and the use of aggression to discourage further questions.

As for Christianity? I believe it is a moral vacuum. The only moral is to love Christ. All crimes are forgiven if one holds to the love of Christ.

As for the scripture? It is self defeating and in itself disproves itself. For example; the original Christ in the OT was to arrive amd save the Jews. Christianity has spent nearly 2000 years persecuting Jews. How is that saved? It is not.

Outside the Bible there exists no evidence of any gods. Gods do not exist. All morals and ethics were created by humans.

I have shocked Christians with what is within the Bible.Even while showing them the scripture, they usually deny it. While reading it.

    Crazy.

But on a more serious level..
Personally, I don't know what happens when I die and I'm happy with that lack of knowledge because it allows me to open my mind. If there is a God I don't think he makes people different to punish them, but rather to teach all humans to respect and love each other. God doesn't make bad things happen to us to hurt us, but rather to open a side of ourselves up that we might never known to exist.
And before you start telling me to stop my Christian God-loving preaching you should know that I'm not Christian. I'm spiritual not religious. I'm a combination of every religion.
Also, it shouldn't matter if there's Heaven and hell or reincarnation or anything because as long as you do good in THIS life you'll be rewarded in the next no matter what it is.

It's interesting to me how irrational people can get in the name of sanity. The three major religions are a good example. I have had rabbis "prove" to me that the Old Testament is all truth. I was at an age at which I could not just say, bullshit. It's an interesting story, mixing items of truth with items of pure fantasy.

SweetTeen, to tell you the truth, I don't believe your last sentence. I think you can be a sterling character in this life and come back in another and get the hell beaten out of you, everything always going wrong, rotten parents, rotten friends, spending a good part of your life in jail, etc. In other words, I don't necessarily believe in karma.

*sigh* And you think I'M tiresome...

Look. Atheists say they don't believe there's evidence of the existence of god. That's what they've always said. Their position has not changed. They have not "backtracked". Now tell me where atheists have "gotten it wrong"....because I must have missed it. When, exactly, have they retreated in the face of new knowledge?

I'm not talking about science...we all know that science has been wrong many times. It's the nature of science to be wrong, and to correct itself as new observations are made, new knowledge and understanding is gained. Or are you somehow equating science with atheism?

Just thought I would jump in here. You are misrepresenting the facts which may mislead people into drawing false conclusions.

People share ancestors, if they didn't you would only have to go back just a few generations and you reach a number of people that would exceed the number of people that have ever lived. It is simple mathematics, For every person there are 2 parents, that would mean, each generation possesses double the number of people of the following generation and so on. Clearly this is false, the solution is not we are all related back to 1 person if we go back further enough, the solution is simply everybody is related to everyone else.

The way you put your point across misleads people into believing that at one point in history, only one woman was having children and all of of her offspring were mating with one another, this is completely false.

Firstly, this person that we all share as a common ancestor was not the first human, humans evolved gradually as you know. All ancestors have their own parents.

Secondly, there were many thousands of early humans mating, producing offspring, A considerable number of generations later, that human woman's genes would be in many hundreds of other humans.

You can do this with many people in history, for example pretty much everyone in Europe can be traced back to Charlemagne from 800AD. That could be misrepresented to say, everyone in Europe can trace themselves back to one ancestor, Charlemagne in 800AD (the statement is not false, but it misrepresents the truth) We can trace ourselves back to MANY ancestors in 800AD that everyone shares, not just one.

Oh dear. So because atheists have not changed their position in terms of not believing in god, they have never backtracked? Then by this same poor reasoning, the religious, in having not changed their position that there is a god, have never backtracked.

Thank you, that is a very useless insight into your ability to slay the goose and stay the gander.

Depends on whether God is male or female

Since the universe started with a big bang it happened when God was having an orgasm. No question about it God is a female, I mean could a male God have put together this weird species? Therefore the obvious. This universe was created by one of several big bangs when God was being banged by one of her boyfriends who never lets her get away with just one orgasm. Or maybe two boyfriends. I had a girlfriend who told me about the night she got it from three guys all at once, one in each hole, and said she never had that good a time before or since. So I suspect this universe was created during a multiple bang session when God was getting it from three guys at once.

You're the one who charged that atheists have backtracked. So give me an example, so that we'll at least know what you THINK you're talking about. It's difficult to argue when you spend so much time talking about what you didn't actually say, and couch it in so many self-cancelling words.

What is the effect regular church attendance has on criminal behavior? Of those receiving felony convictions are they more or less likely than the general public to have attended church, a synagogue, or a mosque with a fair degree of regularity?

That is an honest question. I do not know the answer. If anyone can answer it and document their source I will certainly appreciate it. :)
