Shortly after I discovered that Clarise had had several stories removed from the forum I sent PMs to Clarise and ejls informing them that I had nothing to do with the removal. I informed ejls that I was willing to have the PMs revealed on the forum even though they might give away details I would otherwise prefer kept secret.

Is anyone else prepared to contact a mod to prove they had nothing to do with what can only be called a betrayal? Until this matter is sorted out there can never be any trust between any of us.

I don't think that anybody denounced clarise. How could they? She is probably the finest writer on the forum. Her stories were removed by a moderator. A moderator (and the administrator) are the only people who can remove a story. We certainly have to trust that they are looking at the stories, assessing their merit and content, and then acting according to what they see and not removing a writer's stories because they were "denounced".

 

Moderators do not go looking for stories to ban. There was a member responsible for reporting underaged content and quoted specific ages in accordance to the report process. Would you like to see what that person reported? It's not in the form of a pm, so it would be absolutely allowable for me to publish.

 

Nobody is saying that moderators go looking for stories to ban. It is dependant upon the users of the forum to report underage stories and that report (I assume) goes directly to a moderator. It should then be the job of the moderator to check the story so that it is not a case of someone giving a false report. If the story is indeed in violation, it should then be removed. If it is not in violation, it should be allowed to remain. Someone must have reported clarise's stories, a moderator must have confirmed the report and removed them. Please don't tell us that moderators remove stories just because someone "tells" them to!

I asked you if you wanted me to post the report. The report goes to all moderators and administrators of the site - each and every one of them. And it does not come in the form of a pm, however the member's name, email address and exactly what that person is reporting is in the message.

You tell me - a popular well-respected member of the Sex Stories Forum reports Clarise's stories and gives specific examples where she posted against forum guidelines. Why wouldn't we trust this upright member in good standing?

It would be totally unethical for a mod to remove a story without a complaint from another member as it would be seen as favouritism if they did not remove a similar story posted by a friend. For these stories to be removed they had to be reported by someone else. Ejls has confirmed that this was done by someone who claims to want the age limit dropped. I know it wasn't me and I can have ejls post a PM which proves it wasn't me. Who else can say the same. All anyone needs to do is contact a mod and ask them to confirm that they did not report Clarise's stories. We should soon be able to determine who could or couldn't have reported the stories.

Who knows? Maybe Clarise reported her own stories just to prove a point!

Until we find out who is reponsible there will always be a "bastard" on the forum.

 

The moderators are doing a fine job in a task that some might find overwhelming. The administrator has set a "guideline" of 16 for the stated ages of characters in stories. No, we don't expect the moderators to read all of the stories to see that the "guideline" is being adhered to. The moderators and administrator rely on the users of the forum to report stories that feature characters under the stated age. All a reader can do is report what they find. It is then up to the moderator or administrator to verify the report and remove the story if it is necessary. I would have to assume that, in this case, that is what was done.

I guess the only real question is: were there underage characters in clarise's stories?

Don't we know why it was pulled? because of content, She went against the forum rules?.....How hard is it to understand?...and as per usual, we get the tears and cries for a writer that everybody thought was good...not giving one jot for the others...not caring about the slow cull and of writers leaving.

It was a legitimate report and one that had merit. Clarise had already admitted she expected to be reported long before this happened. She has not been banned and is free to post whenever she pleases.
