I dont get pulled over much and when I do they usually let me go. I was freezing last night with my window open. The cop last night was an ass. He asked me questions when I was leaning over to get my insurance papers out of the glove box and then insisted I can't hear you speak up, that was just ignorant of him. A normal person would have waited till I was sat back upright in my seat. I should have said "ya well I guess you can't hear me because I am getting the papers you asked for." And no my car isn't red but it is all suped up and a car made for speed. It was a limited edition.

 

Get an SUV or a MiniVan and look like a "soccer mom" and they will play nice with you. :excited:

Cop's get a bit nervous when someone leaves their line of sight with things like reaching across the car and are always cautious of having a gun or other weapon pulled on them these days and you have to remember that police agencies are trained more in military style tactics than in previous training methods and are normally positioned with 2 officers at the vehicle, one at the window and one on the other side in case things go south on them in a "routine check". I am not defending them but I was pulled over once with my pistol in my car and luckily I have all the permits required and was going from the firing range to home, but that didn't make them feel any better until we sorted it out. I applied for an ATC and they just laughed at me.

Hun, you can do that if you want, but remember, you've already said he's an asshole.
In all likelihood, he'll be keeping an eye out for you when he finds out you actually had the backbone to complain.
He'll have the attitude of "you didn't like the first one, well, you'll really be happy about this one".
Buy yourself a digital recorder. If there's a pocket in the side of the drivers door, keep it there. If you get pulled over, turn it on when you see their flashing lights. Turn it on before you pull over so they don't think your hiding something or accessing a weapon, and record the entire conversation. Practice turning it on in a way that won't be noticed from the rear as they're pulling you over so your confident in turning it on without discovery..
DO NOT LET THEM KNOW IT"S BEEN RECORDED.
If it's damning, Go to a lawyer to do the damage.
In an extreme case, the following is also another strategy.
It's possible to get a reporter involved if the tape is controversial. (Again, do it through a lawyer.) They want to sell papers, and a story on abuse of power will do it, especially if they make a request from the public for their experiences for followup articles. People love that shit, and will pay to read, or hear about it.

In Illinois it is illegal to record a public official (cop) while working without his permission. It is being argued in court but people are being charged with doing it. The recording will not be admissible as evidence.

 

I spoke to his supervisor today and now I understand a few things and they do as well. Apparently he will be spoken to for some of his conduct which there was room for improvement. I feel better after our chat and I will also be getting new equipment for the car to detect when radar is around. I only had this new car for less then 2 weeks so it isn't completely set up yet as I just haven't had time.

He did tell me that people do win in fighting tickets now I just have to figure out how. lol.

A fucking disgrace for any officer to act like that and take it personally to a point where they need to act out their aggression on a suspect that yes deserves all the jail time he is going to get but they overstepped their boundry by a country mile (pun intended).

Also look at where it happened, a bunch of backwoods hicks that were probably pissed off that their coffee and fresh donut break was interrupted. The only thing missing here is one of them hitting the suspect with a fucking Banjo, lol.

 

Whats bad is law enforcement used to be to protect the people and keep the peace, now they are more like a source of income for the government that will do what ever they have to in order to meet minimum income requirements set by the government. Also they seem to push the agenda of the government almost to the point of abuse and harassment. Pigs don't treat people like citizens anymore, everyone is a criminal and cops stretch and bend things in order for them to be able to make any action a crime. Pigs are also becoming a spin off of the military of communist countries. How bad will it get before anyone stands up against their corruption and wrong doings.

Notice the professional demeanor and the professional dress? Notice that they look nothing like storm troopers on a search and destroy mission? They look serious but professional, rather than intimidating and angry.

Thats because they have PEOPLE SKILLS and they have been trained to be police....not assault troops.

An American cop knows he can be an asshat because he has you well and truely out gunned. British cops on the other hand are more closely armed like the people they police. Sure, some cops in the UK are armed. Sure, they might even be able to kick your ass...maybe, maybe not. But the odds arent stacked as far in thier favor. When they are armed its an event, not what they sleep in every night. More over, in the UK cops are taught good manners...in the U.S. they are taught to agressively control every situation Through intimidation...they are actualy taught this...thats not implied or supposed....thats the training. U.S. cops flex thier muscle and prove to the world that they are no longer the geeky, skinny little kid that got beat up on the playground and couldnt get dates. Now they are heavily armed and highly trained shock troops whos job is to fuck you up if you even blink wrong.

 

As far as Blogs go, this has got to be right up there and I am impressed with the amount of work that went into this one. I just made a donation to the site and hope it helps and also entered it into my bookmarks.

I am not a "cop basher" but am always concerned with misconduct whether here or anywhere else and this site will help to stay current and hopefully make police realize that they are accountable to the people and have standards to uphold. (Good luck with that one though)
